My husband and I just returned from a week's holiday at Scott's Galilea - a great place. The accommodation was perfect and the service excellent, we couldn't have asked for more. Our villa was spacious and well decorated in the Spanish style. As a self catering unit it had all the facilities needed and enough space to self cater well....

We left England very early on a dark, rainy Friday feeling very tired and stressed from pressures of work - a few hours later we arrived at Scotts to blue skies and a tranquil setting. Judy, the owner, was very helpful and it was great to have the security of the mobile phone just in case of emergencies. Our room...

Just returned from Scott's Galilea. Can confirm that Judy Scott greeted us (we didn't arrive until 10pm) with warmth and is clearly passionate about the place and keen for you to have the best time. Frank was laid back but always attentive and usually accompanied by friendly dog - weezer. The mobile is a great touch. Best bits are definitely...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in this beautiful mountain retreat. The perfect spot for a romantic break. or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of London. The accomodation is rustic and beautifully presented, a special mention goes to the comfortable beds. We were well looked after by Frank who brought breakfast up to...

Having stayed at several A. Sawday recommended properties we arrived full of confidence to Scotts Galilea. Unfortunately we left with a different perspective. Clearly Scotts are excellent at self promotion and yes, the views are great. The rest of the experience, however, deviates significantly from the brochure and website. The rooms (ours was a superior suite!) were small and cluttered....

GWScott, Owner at Scott's Galilea, responded to this review

A couple of the negative reviews posted toward the end of last year were, we regret to say, justified. What happened was that two new managers were brought in on short notice to take over the place after we lost our experienced and competent manager to ill-health. I never thought it possible that our reputation could be wrecked in about...

Odd that for each negative comment on Scotts of Galilea, there is a response which attempts to effectively dismiss any criticism of this establishment. Our own experience tells a very different story from the other 'independent' views listed on here... Having experienced a two hour delay in our arrival at Palma airport on Saturday evening, we found the car hire...

This will be brief because I´m actually writing this on my laptop chilled out on my terrace at Galilea, looking at the sun setting over the mountain range on my right that runs down to the sea and I´m not feeling like ever moving again. I´m sure there are more perfect places in the world, but I just may not...

As half of the couple referred to in a previous review, I really have to correct a few unkind remarks. First of all, we waited only about seven minutes, no more, for attention, and indeed the manager had popped home to get something, but since his home is only a hundred feet away from the entrance, we were not inconvenienced...

Positives - gorgeous views, nicely decorated, fab terraces, comfortably decorated, daily managers helpful and friendly, good location for West of island Negatives - hefty pricetag for flawed accommodation... unfortunately the owner made us feel like a bit of an inconvenience. A few other small issues (breakfasts consistently late, leaking roof, absence of water one morning, no satellite tv only dvd,...

First of all, I NEVER write about places I stay, good or bad. I just don't do it. This time -- maybe it was just that it was so different and special -- I thought I would tell a few more people. So what can I recommend? Well, the view is paralyzing, and sometimes when I was reading on our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dear reader, thank you so much for your interest in us. Before we invite you to discover the untouched and authentic Majorca by staying with us, we would like to present us as new operators of Scott´Galilea. After the official closing in 2009 - we are overtaking the hotel right now, we as an enthusiastic, dynamic and professional team contributed in the rehabilitation and refurbishment works thats needed to be done. The result is simply heavenly. Our small team is running two small hotels on Majorca - one in Paguera -and - the other one in Galilea. Both hotels do have different concepts, but they are operated by the same team with the same spirit -the immense energy and enthusiasm in fullfilling the guests expectations. In the following we will describe the hotel, the concept, the location and some unique specialities. However, we are convinced that one thousand words can´t express the real beauty and uniqueness of this hideaway! If you need some more info or if you just have some questions - please don´t hesitate in contacting us. We would be more than happy to welcome you soon at Scott´s Galilea. One of the most loveliest spots on the island of Mallorca ... Scott's Galilea is a small retreat, located in the south-west, just 20 minutes from Palma. Up here on his mountain spur 560m in height, it still breathes the fresh air and listening to the bells of the church. By the way, Galilea was elected several times to the most beautiful village in Mallorca. Built on an old terracing, above the village, overlooking the garden, the resort Scott's Galilea offers an extremely inspiring environment that combines absolute privacy and individuality. The Scott´s, spread over a three-hectare site, on a hillside on 4 levels, offers three senior suites (which recreates the cozy and comfortable atmosphere of a vacation home) and seven spacious Studio Suites. The living areas are all different in size and lovingly furnished and equipped, furthermore all units do offer fully equipped kitchens. The bedrooms are equipped with high-quality handmade beds. Each residential area has its own south-facing terrace. From here you can look over a green mountain valley down to the sea, surrounded by a pristine and unrestricted Mallorca. All the attention to detail, the special flavor (architect: Pedro Otzoup), the warmth of the hotel services and a commitment to quality characterizes Scott's Galilea. It offers something special and rare: sweet tranquility. Galilea is located astride a network of mountain paths, directly behind the small hideaway, the trail starts to the legendary 'Galatzo'. Golf and water-sports locations are in the reach of a just 20 minute drive. For meetings, seminars and parties, the inviting outdoor terraces and a banquet hall may be used.     ... more   less
