Very compact room but as expected in Tokyo. Travelling with a family of three (two adults and one 6 year old), it required a fair degree of space and people organisation to not get into each other's way. It is lacking storage space in general. A washing machine and dryer combo was provided in the room which is convenient, but...

The hotel is located on Gotanda Station on the Yamanote Line. This is very convenient and it gives you access to some of the main attractions in Tokyo (Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo Station). The hotel is across the street from the JR station or you're welcome to walk underground and exit A6 where the hotel would be on the right hand...

Conveniently located one minute walking from Gotanda station on the Yamanote line. Quiet area. Not a lot of restaurants but a pretty big food supermarket right out of Gotanda station. Clean and modern hotel. The room was quite small as we can expect in Tokyo but made cleverly use of all available space, we could manage with our big suitcase....

Overall, our stay at Tokyu Stay Gotanda was good. Room was spacious for Japan standards and generally clean. Pillows were a bit too soft and there was a slight power surge when using the washing machine, but it was ok. Hotel staff's english standards were poor. They couldn't understand simple questions and there was only a lady staff around on...

Had a great stay! Hotel is new and clean, located at convenient location near to train station. Has a microwave, washer and dryer in the room which is a double plus plus! Room is generally small, although more spacious than many hotels in Tokyo but the bed is huge. Definitely value for money due to the comfortable big bed, great...

The stay was uneventful. Typical Tokyo business hotel, except that there is a bit more room to accommodate the desk and washer/dryer! I got some laundry done unexpectedly. It does take a while to complete its cycle...so do plan ahead.

This place is good , the room is average but good enough by Tokyo standards, it has a balcony, kitchen & washer dryer as part of the amenities. The biggest plus is the accessibility with a metro & JR station at a 2 minute walk. You can use your JR pass to travel around to most of the destinations. We...

I stayed at the hotel only for one night but was generally very pleased with its offering. The hotel is new and the rooms quite spacious for Tokyo (I could even open my suitcase which isn't always the case). It is continently located close to the train station and 2 subway lines. I would certainly come back as I felt...

Decent hotel with absolutely excellent staff and an ok breakfast. We had a good night sleep during our one night stay even though the room was the smallest we've ever had anywhere before. For one night it was completely fine. The breakfast was surprisingly decent and we had full stomachs when we continued our journey. Excellent location even with big...

A nice appartment (room with kitchen and a washing machine) The hotel is very well located, near the subway station gotanda which is on the yamanote line. The staff is very friendly. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they have a partnership with a restaurant in the same building where you can take the breakfast

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
