I stayed for 3 nights with my partner and found all the staff very friendly & extremely helpful. The hotel is close to everything you need, but the hotel also has a cafe with great coffee. I recommend staying here :)

The dorm was clean, comfortable and easy to use. Lovely to have a towel and locker included. Even though many of the rooms were hotel rooms, it still had a friendly atmosphere. The staff were excellent, and allowed me to check in close to 1am. Loved the tofu sandwich on offer at the cafe. Breakfast was not included but was...

The room itself was fine - tho not much privacy could be offered as your bunk bed does not have it's own curtains - the bathrooms are clean, showered are clean. Café downstairs on the groundfloor is cool! The exterior of the hotel is ultra cool as well. Great location tho not easy to find in the first place. Nearby...

Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Graphy. Located in a beautiful Japanese neighbourhood. Loved the interior design of the establishment. Chic and cosy. Plenty of services available. Good base to explore Ueno.

I'm japanese from Hokkaido(20years ago, I was a student of Tokyo Univ.).I'm very satisfied with the circumstsnce of the hotel, the room I stayed, the stuff I met. The location is a little far from the station, but this is not any problem to me(very quiet with no traffic noise!!).Only, the noise of doors when closed(especially left it naturally) was...

It was my first accommodation in Japan and I couldn't have better beginning. Beautiful decoration in the hall, they offer large space for guests to use, friendly staff and about 15min to Uezo station. The only problem was not having shower in the same floor.

First time coming to Tokyo, the location is a little further away from the main areas, Shibuya and Shinjuku, however you have other things to see in the area (like the pandas at Ueno Zoo) and you can take a train quite quickly to other parts of Tokyo. The staff there are awesome and had some great recommendations especially on...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
