Detailed Reviews
Excellent location next to a metro entrance, close to Ueno & can walk to Asakusa but without the crowd n noise of those two places. Booked a Premium Sky Triple but at check in they said it is under repair and gave us a Premium Sky Twin fit with extra 3rd bed, to compensate free breakfast for the 4 nights stay - room bit squeezy but acceptable. Staff service very good and helped arranging takuhaibin service. Air con dripping due to condensation but staffs patched up promptly. I believe even a new or 5 star hotels will have incidents/issues but it is how the staffs react that makes the difference.
The breakfast choice is bit limited (3 sets to choose - western, japanese or cereal), after 4 consecutive days, what more can i say. Lucky i didn't pay for it, otherwise lower score. But i think this cafe is not part of the hotel operation.

The location near Tarawamachi station and it would take 10 minutes to Sensoji temple. The room is too small but it suitable for one or two person. There is a restaurant inside the the hotel and it provide halal food. One staff can speak bahasa and it very helpful for us.

Rooms small and shabby. We’ve been here 14 days and stayed in over 8 different hotels across western Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu and never have we had a bathroom so small. Wait staff in restaurant also rude. Curiously the included breakfast was half as large on day 2 as on day 1. Also on day 2 they decided that you could NOT have coffee refills. ‘Only 1 cup free with breakfast’!

Stayed in room 410, which was less than 6 x 3 metres and had a very small double bed pushed up against the wall. No space to put our suitcases let alone unpack. Asked about getting a bigger room but nothing available that first night and wanted a further £60 for the privilege to move the next day. Decided to go to another hotel rather than chance getting another horrible room. In addition to the tiny nature of the room the decor was dated and fittings were a bit scruffy. Not a place to stay if you are claustrophobic

Really catastrophic hotel.
The photos are much more attractive...tiny room with barely enough room for two people to move around, dirty smell of urine in the toilets, dust...
I don't understand how we can charge for this kind of service.

Disgusting, moldy hotel. There's probably mold in every bathroom in the hotel. I saw 3 of them. Probably run by Baikinman. The service is nice and the hotel lobby is well-kept, but that's about it. The rooms are small and probably haven't been renovated since 2012. The bathrooms are rotting and moldy.

I gave this place a five for location because it is not in the very central part of Tokyo, but I really enjoyed coming back to a peaceful, quaint little neighborhood after spending the day amidst chaos. This place was just updated, all the furniture, showers, etc are brand new and very nicely done. The staff knows enough English to be extremely helpful. Very tourist friendly and a wonderful place for our first, introductory night in Japan.

I stayed at this hotel for six nights with my girlfriend. Our overall experience was excellent and I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Getting there:
As we arrived very late at Haneda Airport and the subway closes at midnight, we had to take a taxi. We had the address printed out in Japanese and the taxi driver had no trouble finding it. It cost about 9,000 Yen.
Our flight back home left from Narita Airport. We took the subway for one station to Asakusa and from there, an express train takes you directly to the airport for about 1,200 Yen. No problem at all, even with our very large and heavy bags.
The location:
The hotel is located directly next to a subway station (Tawaramachi Station), from which the Ginza line takes you directly to Asakusa, or, the other way, to Ginza and Shibuya. If you need to get anywhere else, you can change lines in Ueno (two stops) or Shibuya. Also, you can walk to the Skytree from there, which is nice, because you get to see a little more of the city than just the typical tourist spots.
A Family Mart is located directly next to the hotel, where you can stack up on snacks and all kinds of drinks.
We didn't really walk around the neighborhood much (just on our way to the Skytree), but it is clean and safe, like everywhere in Tokyo.
The room:
Our room was very small. I have stayed in Tokyo before and have talked to other people who also have and this seems to be normal. We had a look inside some other rooms and there are bigger ones, but ours was very small. We could only open one suitcase at a time and not really walk around much.
The bed was large enough, though (I have stayed in bigger rooms with smaller beds) and very comfy. I slept very well for the entire week.
There is a small TV with Japanese channels, and also USB ports. We did not try connecting a hard disc to it, but they're great for charging electronic devices, so I thought I'd mention it.
The bathroom was, compared to everything else, rather large. The shower has a normal shower head, as well as a rainfall shower from above, a very nice touch. Everything is clean and just how you would expect a hotel bathroom to be.
As mentioned in the hotel description, the rooms are not equipped with anything except the necessary stuff like towels. For a hairdryer or shampoo, you need to go down to the reception and buy or rent things. We brought our own hairdryer and rented a power plug adapter for 500 Yen for the whole week. They have extra towels, shampoo, slippers, and even iPads and some other fancy stuff. If you need anything, the staff is happy to help and stuff is very cheap.
There is free WiFi. I can only speak for our room (9th floor) and the hotel lobby, but the reception is excellent and we had no trouble accessing the internet at any time.
The staff:
We found every single staff member we interacted with to be very friendly and helpful. They speak enough English to help people with requests, which is not always a given in Japan.
The Agora Place Asakusa is a great hotel in an excellent location. If you are in Tokyo to explore the city and aren't interested in hotel wellness or anything like that, this is a great place to stay! I would definitely stay here again.

The beds are definitely big enough for two! Don’t know how far it is from Disneyland though...
Less than 1hour by public transport. This place is closer to Tokyo station.
1. Yes I'm also using TaQubin during my stay, I just email the hotel and inform them that my luggage will reach on the day I check in (you can decide date & time to reach when sending the luggage with TaQubin)
2. This I'm not sure, you may ask the hotel do their counter have service contact with TaQubin.
I always love to use the taqubin service whenever I travel in Jpn, it's so convenient!
