This hotel was in a great location. 2 minute walk to train station , easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are small but very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Senso-Ji Temple is a 5-10 minute stroll away.

I loved this area; very close to senso-Ji shrine and a very quiet part of Tokyo, some nice small bars and good restaurants nearby too. Make sure you get a non smoking room if you don't smoke! Personally, every time I got into my room it smelt like sausages... Only criticism, otherwise it was very clean and the breakfast at...

The rooms where good sized for Japan, but the beds were very firm. Also, the pillows had beans or buckwheat or something like that in them, not very comfortable for someone who is not uses to that sort of thing. But the Location was perfect! I am not sure why my tour group chose a hotel that is from top to bottom a smoking hotel but it is not in my books good. In most places in the world, there is no smoking in most public places now, restaurants, bars, airplanes and hotels. Yet this hotel is smelly of smoke from the top floor to...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in advance of joining a walking tour. Even though our arrival was after midnight, the reception staff was helpful, efficient, and welcoming. We had a room on the 7th floor with a view of the Sky Tower that was quiet. The 7th floor is the non-smoking floor. The room has a king-sized bed...

The hotel is pretty good and offers a clean comfortable room. They have a computer in the lobby to use and the wi-fi is pretty quick. It's close by to the subway and there's a convenience store close by too. It's also close to the Sensoji Temple and markets.

Within 5 minutes walk of 2 stations, this hotel gives visitors easy access to Tokyo's attractions. Rooms are small but offer all amenities i.e hairdryer, en-suite toilet/shower, fridge... Staff are friendly and breakfast options are great. The hotel is spotless and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Tokyo on a budget.

The location is great -- just a few minutes away from two stations (it was easier for me to/from the Tawaramachi station), easy walk to Nakamise Dori, Kaminarimon, Sensoji. The room is small as expected, but enough space. The water pressure was high, the water was hot, usual hotel amenities are available. The reception staff was helpful and patient while...

The rooms are small but well organized and spotlessly clean. It’s walking distance easily to Senso –ji Temple and the Tawaramachi subway station. Eat delicious Sushi at Sushizanmai restaurant outside Tsukiji market.

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
