The hotel worths staying at Tokyo. We spent four nights (2 adults + 1 child) at the hotel. We can enjoy the view of the Sky Tree through the window. Hotel location is convenice from/to either Narita airport (Sky Access) or Haneda Airport (Keikyu Line) via Asakusa station which 2 metro lines intersect. Personally, I think the matress and pillow...

Conveniently located just a block from Asakusa Station and Senso-ji, this near-boutique hotel is stylish, well-run, quiet, and quite reasonably priced. We spent a bit more than planned to stay here, but came away convinced we'd made the right. choice. Highly recommended.

Our first visit to Tokyo & I was completely overwhelmed by the options of hotels & of neighbourhoods to choose from. We could not have been happier with our choice on both counts. Really easy to get to from Narita Airport - the direct train is just under an hour & a short walk from Asakusa station. Everywhere else is...

I stayed here for a night. It was decent but honestly this is not the best area to stay in Tokyo if it is your first time. I stayed here because some people suggested it may be good to stay here since it's closer to the airport transportation. It was fine for me for one night but I wouldn't recommend...

My wife and I spent 4 lovely nights at this modern, comfortable and chic hotel conveniently located with views to Kaminarimon Gate and Tokyo Skytree. Very friendly staff (English speaking) who were always eager to please and ensure our stay was welcome. I'm looking forward to returning and wholeheartedly recommend it.

This is a relatively new hotel that is very well managed. I was satisfied with my room, but was amazed by the level of friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness by all the staff I came into contact with during my nine night stay.

The hotel is conveniently located near Tokyo Asakusa Station and the temple itself ! It's about 5 min walk to either one of them. The hotel lobby has an impressive contemporary setting with view of Tokyo Tower in the background. However, room is pretty small as one might expect but clean and tastefully decorated! The hotel restaurant serves excellent Western...

Stayed in the Scenic Twin Room for the trip. The room is relatively spacious (including the toilet) if comparing with other Japan hotels. You can see the Tokyo Skytree directly from the room. The hotel is just few minutes walk from the Exit 2 of Asakusa Station (Tokyo Metro) and opposite to famous sight seeing spot - The Kaminarimon. Many...

We had a triple room, essential-type - the most common room size in the hotel. First room we were given was very musty smelling and had dirty carpet, with obvious footprint stains, etc. near the door. which was rather disappointing. We asked if this was the norm and were given a second room. Just as stuffy, but clean carpet. The...

Top choice! This is an elegant boutique hotel in the buzzling part of Tokyol Close to Kaminarimon and all public transport access. This hotel is in Asakusa, the older part of Tokyo, which is ideal for people who wants the cultural part of Tokyo rather than modernised suburb. There are lots good eatery close by, dont be fooled by its...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.

  • Too small for triple occupancy really. Go for a bigger one!
