The rooms are very small, the bathroom is just like the one you would find on an airplane. Small, crowded, you can't leave the door open when your showering with hot water because the fire alarm will sound! Just imagine, how tiny it is. When we got there, we found a large amount of hair floating in the toilet. That...

We have been there for 7 nights. Place is good, is not far from the Shinjuku station. You can reach all the most important and touristic places in Tokyo in less than twenty minutes. The hotel's room are clean, sometimes quite small but comfortable. They offer toothbrush, soap, shaver, some kind of cream, tea, coffee and water. If you're looking...

It's about a 10-15 walk underground from tokyo station to this hotel. There are a lot of shops and restaurants to go to during this underground walkway. This walkway is convenient for when's its raining and cold, like during a typhoon which happened during our stay ^^. If you stay out past 10 pm, you can not use the underground...

It was a nice hotel, quite big, with friendly staff. We got upgraded to a triple room as they didn't have any twin rooms on the women's floor. The only problems with the hotel is that the room was quite hot, and it is quite a distance from the station. It does have the Limousine Bus from the airport at...

The first thing I said to myself when I got into the room was WOW !! Yup the room was pretty small but then again I wasn't there for the room so it's pretty Ok I guess for the price I pay. There are plenty of international chain hotel around for double or triple the price. I do find the...

The plus is that this hotel is in a great location with views of the high rise area close the the station. The negative; windows so small you feel like you are in a prison cell, smoking room even if you booked non smoking, dated decor, filthy bathroom and finally hair in the bed! Disgusting, thank God we only stayed...

As in Japanese hotels, the rooms here are fairly small on average, but unless you came with copious amounts of baggage, this shouldn't really be a problem. Between the two of us, we had three suitcases and four carry-ons, and we were able to fit without too much trouble. The bathroom is unmercifully small as well, so if you plan...

The Shinjuku Washington Hotel is conveniently located in central Tokyo. It is easily accessible from Narita International Airport via the airport limousine bus (3,000 yen) and within walking distance to Shinjuku (train) station (perhaps around 8 minutes or 5-6 US city blocks). Between Shinjuku station and the hotel, there are restaurants of all types and the area around Shinjuku station...

The room is so small, as usual Tokyo hotel. The bathroom is small, but ok. with all minimum accessories.. The location is also fine.. directly connect with the underground paths to the Shinjuku subway. My complain is on the breakfast service...The line was so long, and so slow to serve until I had to skip to avoid missing the train...

As is usual with Japanese hotels the 'double' room I stayed in had space for a small double bed but not much else. If you wanted to open a suitcase there wouldn't have been room for it on the floor. The TV is all in Japanese so no concessions to tourists who don't speak Japanese. The staff are fairly friendly...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
