We stayed 3 nights in the twin bed room on the 11th floor. We initially booked a double room through Zuji for abt $160/night without breakfast but realized that the room was too tiny for comfort for our 3 day stay so we upgraded for 2000 YEN per night which was very reasonable. Our upgraded room was 1104. its a...

only ten minutes from shinjuku station and a great base for exploring the local area and further afield. the hotel is two mins walk from a bustling area full of restaurants and bars and general shopping areas. I got a great deal on the hotel, worked out about £65 a night. The rooms are pretty small but this didn't cause...

I was heading over to Tokyo for 3 nights to see Japan vs Scotland at football so didn't plan on spending much time in the hotel. I was aware Tokyo hotels were expensive so when I saw the price of this compared to others I went for it. It's about 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station and fairly easy to...

The location is good and easy access to Shinjuku Station South Gate via underpass (1 day street). Was staying there for 2 nights at 10th.FL. old wing, the room is narrow or standard Japanese business hotel, the room temperature cannot be controlled which personal think that it is slightly warm. High speed internet with LAN cable provided. But the sound...

Stayed in the Shinjuku Washington for just over a week during the second week of April. I wish to start with a warning - if you are paying base rate to stay in this hotel, you will not be in one of the rooms advertised on the website. OK, this is pretty much guaranteed for any hotel in the world....

This hotel isn't too bad. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages in mu opinion. The cost is reasonable, its clean and free internet is provided. But the biggest advantage is the location. It's close to shops, food and most importantly, the train station is about an 8 minute walk. There is even an under cover passage from the hotel to the...

We just returned from our trip to Japan and stayed at the Washington. Our room was very small, clean, but too hot. Room service open the window and it remained open during my 3 days at the hotel. There must be some way to regulate the heat. It was very claustrophotic because the room was tiny and too hot. Bed...

This is not a bad hotel. It is a well-run place and very clean. However, I did share some of the experiences that other reiviews here have recently shared. Pros: Very clean and well-maintained. Rooms are reasonable given price and location. Great 24-hour convenience store. Located on Airport Limo Bus and JTB points which was good for a tourist like...

Simple small rooms, but i think it's what you expected when you go to a business hotel, right? very good location near to the shinjuku station, in fact there is a tunnel direct to the hotel, perfect for raining days. Good place to stay for a tight budgets.

We stayed at the Washington for a week. My wife and I took a double room and my kids (14, 12) took a twin. The rooms were small. The twin was a bit bigger and had room for an extra chair. We enforce rigid light packing rules. At most a large carry-on size suitcase per person. Because of this, we...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
