I give it two stars (rather than zero) because there is running water and electricity, and the views are decent. Words to describe the Park Hyatt: Moderate, Awkward, Outdated, Loud, Noisy, Smokey, Uncomfortable. We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental before going to Kyoto and then stayed at the Park for one night before flying back out of Tokyo. I wish...

I've been traveling to Japan since 2000, and I started staying at the Park Hyatt about 5 years ago. My preference is to end my trip in Japan with 2-3 nights here as a way to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy the property while leisurely seeing Tokyo. I love having breakfast (Japanese style) delivered to my room but I also...

Wow, just wow. This place is beautiful. The staff feels like family. I have never encountered such a truly genuine staff. I had a small issue at the Sunday brunch and the Russian manager, I cannot recall his name, was so incredibly helpful. After he resolved the small hiccup he continuously made sure my boyfriend and I were okay. He...

Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed. I liked everything! The atmosphere, the entrance, the rooms, the spa, the restaurants and most of all the staff! Professional and flawless. My wife left a bag in the cab and within 24 hours the concierge found it back ( in a city of almost 14 million people.....). We also tried allmost...

We went to Tokyo for the first time so we wanted to have a great view. We had 2 rooms for a family of 5 and we arrived in Tokyo in the morning with bad jet lag. The hotel gave a treat to the children and we went to bed really early cause we couldn't keep going so we woke...

ScarJo - Bill Murray - Tokyo - Midlife Crisis. Need I say more? Ever since I saw that movie I have wanted to go to Tokyo and stay at the Park Hyatt - and I was not disappointed. This trip was me, my mother (73 and active), and my 13 year old daughter. We had 8 nights to experience Japan...

Stayed here for one night. Can't afford it, but just did. Amazing urban view, which transforms at night into a scene out of Bladerunner. Room was massive, bed was massive, window was massive, view was massive. Bath was more like one of those small swimming pools for children to learn to swim in.............but rather more relaxing! Service was as you...

Stayed one night at the Park Hyatt Tokyo. The staff is very very friendly and mostly are japanese, giving you the perfect feel of being in a Japanese hotel beside the worldwide/international brand name. Rooms were very nice. It did not feel outdated and perks and amenities are perfect as you would expect from a park hyatt. Couldn't expect more...

Being a big fan of the film Lost in Translation, it has always been my dream to stay here. It didn't disappoint. Yes it's pricey (hence why I could only stay for one night) but nothing is too much trouble for the polite and friendly staff. The room was as I'd expect;- classy and comfortable with breathtakingly views over Tokyo....

I have always enjoyed the Hyatt brand, especially Park Hyatt. There are certain things one expects when staying at a location of this tier. Most of these aspects where fulfilled by the Park Hyatt Tokyo, making our experience in Japan that much better. The room although a tad outdated, had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. The property does show...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
