Being 2 adults and 2 kids travelling around Japan, it can be tricky finding accomodation to fit the 4 of us. The Keio Plaza hotel ticked all the boxes. Basically our room was 2 normal sized rooms, with the wall between them removed. There were 2 bathrooms (albeit, both quite small) and a lounge and 2 lounge chairs. The beds...

2 nights. We received a free upgrade when we checked in to a premium room. Location: Short walk from the station. Location to me is excellent as it is away from crazy crowds yet so easily accessible. There is a F&B area on the way to the train station that offers many dining options. Common Areas: Well maintained. It is...

The hotel is big- which means a queue to check in. But it moved quickly. It's very convenient as the Airport Limousine stops at the hotel. It is also about 8 mins walk from the Shinjuku train station - west gate. The hotel is clean - nothing fancy, rooms are pretty big compared to others like Sunroute and JR Blossom...

The hotel's location (stone's throw from the Toei subway; ~5-mins walk to the JR Shinjuku station, and close proximity to Haneda airport), clean and comfortable rooms, and the sumptuous Japanese buffet breakfast. We stayed on the 26th floor (main tower, non-smoking room), so had a good view, too! Staff from the airport bus company were particularly helpful (and flexible) in...

If you have no budget concern, Keio Plaza hotel would one of the best choice of your city trip. 5-8 mins walk to station, bus station and department stores. Always can find a good place to eat something: Ramen, BBQ and anything you want.

Stayed here for a holiday trip to Tokyo. Check inn line took FOREVER and I felt like a faceless number to the hotel. I am not sure if they can pack any more people in that place. The location is excellent, food choices are abundant and the tours the hotel facilitates are good. One thing I really hated was the...

I like this place because of its spacious room that can accomodate 3 adult and 2 children in one room with reasonable and affordable price despite its old / simple interior design of the inside building and room but it is clean.... also the staff are quite helpful. At first i was not so sure of this hotel, but after...

Expensive , had to pay more when we arrived and the staff on the front desk were surly and unfriendly. There was a mistake with our booking and the front desk were argumentative and when I asked for the manager was told I would get the same outcome and would have to wait at least 10 minutes so staff said...

Keio was the perfect way to end our family holiday. A short distance from the Orchard Road of Tokyo, even missing our flight on what was supposed to be our first day could not bring our mood down. Our room didn't really have the best view but it was close to the lift, spacious and comfortable with four beds and...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
