I was quite amazed by the buffet there and the types of food they serve, such as lobsters, and other Japanese Traditional Cuisine such as the raw fish (Sashimi) or one of the most popular dishes - Sushi. Undoubtedly the desert there gave one various selection of traditional Japanese dessert such as the mochi. The convenient part is that it... More

This hotel is in a great location walking distance from many bars, restaurants, Golden Gai and Robot Restaurant. For the price, it's a good deal and I would crash there again for a few nights for getting out on the town. The room was clean and the staff friendly/helpful. On the downside, the rooms are super small and the ventilation... More

Stayed 5 nights and couldn't have been happier with our choice of hotel in Tokyo. Very affordable for the location and higher quality than I expected. The tourist desk by the front entrance was always staffed and they were very helpful with directions and suggestions for places to go. All staff spoke english very well. Our room was small but... We stayed here for 4 nights and found everything to be OK. The location is good, staff is friendly (they do speak many languages including English, Korean, Chinese etc). The information desk at 1st floor is particularly helpful as they can point you to the right direction with maps. Location wise, many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Although it is... I love this hotel! It's at the center of Kabukicho right next to all the shops and restaurants. The room is small but is very comfy. The hotel's price is quite expensive and i just wished that it included a small meal but I will definitely be going back.

The location of this hotel was just perfect. Right close to so many attractions, bars, shopping etc. It's directly over top of a subway station although I had a JR pass so I would always do the 5 minute walk to the mega JR Shinjuku station, which literally connects to the entire city. The room was affordable and had a... More

In Shinjuku the location of this place is just unbeatable, the hotel is very large and - this being Tokyo - its rooms are very very tiny. I did not appreciate that when I asked for possibility of checking out only half an hour later, the answer was no, unless we paid extra. I did not appreciate either that windows... More

Hotel is next to kabukicho where all the happenings of tokyo nightlife are centrally at. Several nights, we felt really warm and stuffy in the room (though we tried to set it at 18degrees) so we went to the reception to give feedback. However, their explanation was- Hotel has a centralised aircon system when the weather is cold (ie. 10-11... More

Small Room but with adequate space for single traveller like me, no drinking water provided but there is a hot water dispenser just right next to the elevator on each floor. For location wise, its very excellent the kabukicho and shinjuku area just outside the hotel, and metro seibu shinjuku just on the 2nd floor of the hotel building. But... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
