We enjoyed our stay here very much. I paid extra for the Studio Premier Double and comparing it to the standard room, I thought it was worth the extra (based on size only). Both room types were large by Japanese hotel standards, but the premier one was that bit larger (good for two people). Both the standard and premier rooms...

We stayed at this hotel on our way through to the UK in December for three nights. The staff were polite and helpful and their English was very good. The room was clean and tidy and big enough to not feel cramped. The bathroom was little but had a deep bath and decent enough shower. The bed was comfy and...

This was the second stay for me in this Hotel. The kitchen is great, it's nice to eat out, but sometimes better to prepare your own meals. There is a supermarket within 3mins walk, and quite a few convenience stores also. The subway is a 5-10min walk which is one of Tokyos most travelled line, making it easy to get...

Modern hotel with comfortable compact rooms in a convenient location close to affordable little restaurants and a 5-6 minute walk from Shinjuku-Gyoemmae metro station which is 2 stops from the mega Shinjuku station. There is a 7-11 next door which is open till late that sells toiletries, hot and cold snacks, beer, wine etc. The rooms are clean, we'll-appointed and...

Stayed here on our first leg of Japan trip, service was excellent and friendly-ish staff. Our Friend lost his passport on the first day of our trip but the staff understood and helped us find help via the Australian embassy and local police station. Just 10minute walk to Metro subway station and 20minutes walk to JR Shinjuku station. Neighborhood felt...

I was already impressed with Citadines Shinjuku before I arrived, they happily booked a restaurant we wanted to dine at a few weeks in advance. Upon arriving at the restaurant we had a waitress that spoke English, an English menu and a seat the chef's table - they clearly conveyed my enthusiasm and lack of ability to speak Japanese to...

This was a great home base in Tokyo for us. It was close enough to everywhere we wanted to go, yet far enough out of the main Shinjuku neon crowds to be able to get a good night's sleep. With a 7-11, bottle shop, Family Mart, Doutor Coffee, Vector bar (Japanese beers), and numerous restaurants all within a couple of...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
