ROOM (Executive Twin Room with kitchenette): very spacious for Japanese hotels; very(!) clean; unfortunately the window is quite small which means that you don't get much daylight; the kitchen is well equipped LOCATION: ok/good - it takes 20 minutes by foot from Shinjuku station (Metro station would be closer, but we preferred to travel by JR because we've got a...

Good: Great location - just 2 metro station stops away from Shinjuku Station, in a quiet area with a 7-11 below, a Lawsons 2 blocks away and a supermarket 3 blocks away. Spacious room with full kitchen facilities, clean, quiet and tidy rooms. Comfortable bed and great temperature control that we never even turned the AC/heater units on. Wifi worked...

Love the staff. They are helpful, polite & friendly. The hotel's location is great too. There are train stations nearby, supermarkets, a play ground, shopping & dining places within walking distance AND the neighborhood is safe & quiet. The room is clean & spacious enough (30sq meters) compared to most hotels I've researched here plus I love the fact that...

We were 3 adults and 1 baby. They had one of the few English access to reasonable 3 adult/one room website rates in Shinjuku. Comfortable large room and beds for Shinjuku or Tokyo. Quiet, safe area. We did not feel cramped. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Close to convenience stores and all night restaurants. Only problem is distance from Shinjuku Station, about...

This hotel was a good choice for our five nights in Tokyo. It's clean, has a kitchenette which made it easy to have breakfast in our room, and is central enough for trains and walking. Very good value in an expensive city. Note that it's near Shinjuku Gyoenmae station, two stops from Shinjuku on the red Maranouchi line. And while...

Rooms were nice and a fair size. The best part of this hotel is the wonderful staff! They speak great English and would go out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed during your stat. Great location close to food, shopping and a great park.

Nice hotel. Situated at quiet end of Shinjuku which is great. Very very clean. Helpful staff especially when we wanted to check in early and at first they wouldn't let us then realised our ten year old daughter was dead on her feet and sprawled out fast asleep on the chair in the restaurant. Instead of having to wait 2...

Great location a few minutes walk from Shinjuku Station or bus stop out right outside. You can buy a bus/train pass at the station, very good value. The rooms are wonderfully compact with everything you could need, kettle cutlery pots and pans plates mug and glasses, bath, shower, hair dryer, iron and ironing-board, safe and TV. Even a dish-cloth and...

Very comfortable size for a Tokyo hotel. Service: The staffs were nice and the check in process was smooth. We asked for some plates and cutleries for our cake and they were delivered within minutes! No tipping required cos it's Japan so that was nice. We stayed in room 414. Bathroom: We believe given the change of name from Best...

This hotel has a great location. A short walk to Shinjuku station, restaurants, bars and shops. Very easy to get anywhere in Tokyo. The room was small but comfortable. We had enough room to open our 2 cases (one large, one small) and not feel too cramped. We booked a room with a small double bed which was fine for...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
