Stayed here with 2 friends for a capsule hotel experience in Japan. It didn't disappoint me. Finding the entrance might be challenging. Direction from the website is not helping either. Instead we found a review of this hotel with more details on how to find the entrance. We only stayed here for 1 night when we arrive late in Tokyo....

The entrance is difficult to locate because it's in a foyer which is off street level. It was a very good experience. Close to bars and eateries. It is about 15 minutes walk from the Shinjuku train station. The express train to Narita airport stops at this station. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone seeking a capsule hotel...

Does the job. Strange check in procedure, in which you put your shoes in a locker and then give the keys to reception and they will give you a different key for a different locker for you to put your bag and clothes in. Capsule itself was obviously small - just enough room for me to sit up inside (I'm...

I stayed here on a solo trip to Tokyo in November 2016. In the heart of Shinjuku and about 15 mins walk to the main Shinjuku station. Perfect for a solo trip It was a bit hard to find initially. And you may walk past the pin on google maps several times before you find it. Remember to take off...

The place is a bit hard to find from the Shinjuku Station itself, but manageable with a google map. Upon arrriving you would leave your luggage at the locker area and can proceed to the capsule. Tips: - if you are a solo traveler then this place is perfect for you - backpacks is way convenient if you check-in here...

I have given top star ratings because of this was new to me and was unusual but very interesting. Capsules you sleep in are small yet comfortable and only recommended for sleeping. If you want to sit back and watch a movie (which you use headphones for, it is a complete silence zone) then be sure to experience back pain...

When planning this trip with my son, I figured this would be a perfect time to try out a capsule hotel since we’d be both males and the anything-goes kind of people. Reservation for three nights via online was easy though but after the experience, it might not have even been necessary at all. (More about that later). Upon reaching...

This place ticks ALL the boxes. It gets 10 out of 10 from me for Hospitality--- cleanliness---IMMACULATE--- Location-- beside Train Station and Mc Donalds. The extras which are ALL complimentary, include unlimited tea coffee- minerals, towels, pyjamas and EVERYTHING one would need for showering and shaving. Also has a Hot Spring. For $45 this place is SUPERB.

For around $20USD you get free Wifi (good quality) a clean bed (capsule!) laundry facilities, vending machines, amenities, locker, pajamas, lounges, restaurant. Your only sacrifice is privacy...so (especially the bath situation) is not for everyone. Also having to check in/out each time to leave, reenter the building is a bit annoying but you do get to be in the middle...

It is right inside Kabukichō (歌舞伎町). A lot of restaurants and bars. Don Quijote just 驚安の殿堂 just a few step away and they open till super late (my last visit was mid-night). Girls room are on the top level with an extra locking door. It provided not only a capsule bedroom but a about 60cm tall locker and a share...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
