We arrived a little late at night to have an overnight stay in Tokyo. The location is about 3-4 blocks away from JR Train station. The walk is quite interesting as you will find a very busy nightlife. Safety is not a concern as people are so polite and courteous. People we asked for directions are very helpful and even...

Rooms were a decent size and beds were comfortable. Excellent amenities and bath. Perfect location for exploring Tokyo. Would stay here again. The washing machine and dryers made life easy on the 7th floor. The only English channel was CNN which was somewhat disappointing.

Overall great quality and service. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The location, however, can be misleading. This hotel is marketed to be in central shinjuku but is actually part of kabuki-cho which is a red light district. This could be of concern for families, especially when returning back to the hotel at later hours of the night. The location was...

The hotel is ideally located in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. 5 minute walk away from the East Exit of Shinjuku Station. There is a Lawsons convenience store on level 1 of the hotel, which is great for quick access to drinks and meals. The rooms are clean, although very small but that is typical of most hotels in Tokyo.

I am removing stars for a couple of reasons: 1. The stench of cigarette smoke in the hallway was awful. Grouping floors as smoking and non-smoking would be better. Fortunately, you could not smell it once in the room. 2. At check-in I asked about a twin room (booked a double). Although they had availability (we checked in quite late)...

Located in Kabukicho area 8 min walk North east of Shinjuku Station, this hotel has reasonable sized rooms (for Tokyo in this price segment), good free wifi in the rooms and in the lobby, very friendly & helpful front desk staff who all speak pretty good English. Room air conditioner works well and quiet. Bathroom is small but not overly...

An excellent location for shopping and for food. You could shop and go back to hotel to unload your load easily! For those coming from the airport by limousines, best to alight at Shinjuku and take a taxi to get to the hotel. If you are coming from Tokyo station like I did, after coming out of east exit, best...

great space is Tokyo - if booked early, is only nominally more expensive but rooms are great quality, decent size, and facilities are excellent. Location is fine as well, in the heart of Shinjuku and 5~8min walk from the Shinjuku station

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
