We spent three nights' here based on T.A recommendations. it was our fast trip to Tokyo and we are a little tentative about our ability to get from the airport to a hotel after a long journey. so the fact that the Airport limousine bus went directly to the hotel was one of the major reasons for our choice. The other...

Sunroute hotel have been my number one choice of stay in Tokyo since it's re-opened few years ago. Its location is excellent as very close to the Shinjuku station. I just stayed there a week ago. Hotel was still under renovation but you can hardly hear any noise. This time I found a pound in the lobby which is excellent...

Very good location and breakfast. Airport bus directly to hotel.Friendly staff. The standard room is too small, can only put one luggage under the table, no cupboard. Good shower flow. Many shopping mall and eatery around. There is Macdonald near the hotel. Safe security. Will recommend to friends.

Pros: - I booked a room through the hotel's website and chose the package of "Stay longer save more". I was a solo traveller and was lucky to be upgraded to a big room (biggest I ever have in Japan!) - Super easy access from either Haneda or Narita Airport by Limousine Bus, bus stop virtually outside the doorstep of...

The Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku was an excellent choice for us as it was affordable and located very close to the Shinjuku train/subway station in Tokyo. You couldn't find a better staff who were friendly and always helpful. The only negatives are actually typical throughout Japan. 1) The rooms are so small, there is hardly room to open a suitcase...

Great hotel, spent 6 days there. An oasis within the city. Fantastic service, great room, nice breakfast. Just perfect. Had a room on L13, very quiet, hardly saw any other people around even though the lobby was always busy.

The location is impeccable, 1 minute walk to the Toei subway line. We stayed 6 nights and explored most of central Tokyo via the subway. Staff is awesome, there were renovations going on while we were there but we never heard a thing. Only bad thing was the breakfast buffet, it's ¥1500 and nothing special

Very well - situated hotel ... Accessible to transportation from any part of Tokyo... Clean rooms & friendly hotel staff.. Good place to stay for leisure time. Hotel area in general was quiet although it was close to the train station. Guests are equally pleasant... The daily breakfast served was likewise good & with varied choices.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
