Shibuya was our last stop on our 2 week tour of Japan. Hyatt House was a great way to end the trip with a spacious, very clean and well appointed room. Separate shower and toilet areas are a plus in addition to the combo washer/dryer in the room.

The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute walk just south of Shibuya crossing, and about a 5 minute walk to Shibuya station. The hotel is in a nice, clean, quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya crossing.

Of course there were plenty of places to eat, dine, shop or grab sundries at a convenient store well within walking distance. My wife and I did several trips to Shibuya station where there were many high end shops, numerous places to eat and explore.

Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya was conviently located near Shibuya Station....3 minute walk to the station and Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. I had 3 people in my party and we had 2 beds and a sofa bed in the room ready for us. Very comfortable and roomy. Room also had a washer and dryer which was convient for those traveling for a longer period. The rooms had a good size fridge, 2 burner stove, Nespresso machine, hot water kettle and pots / dishes. The pool was 3.5ft deep ...there was also a shallow jacuzzi. The gym was well equipped also.

My husband an I really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya. We traveled throughout Japan for 2 weeks, and stayed here for 1 week. It helped to have a laundry machine in our room and the location was great as we had a major train station, shops, and restaurants just steps away. I would highly recommend.

I stayed at the Hyatt House Shibuya for a night in February 2024. The hotel is located in a great location, just a short walk from Shibuya Crossing and the train station. The rooms are small but comfortable, and they have everything you need for a short stay, including a kitchen, washer/dryer, and microwave. The hotel also has a indoor pool and hot tub which are great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they made sure that I had everything I needed. Overall, I had a great stay at the Hyatt House Shibuya and would definitely recommend it to others.

Shout out to Juliana for going the extra step when I needed some additional packing material for a fragile item.

My 22 yo daughter and me were guests of the facility for 9 nights. We had a very good time in the hotel and its vicinity. Very good location, good vibe in the modern square below the hotel. When we saw from a distance the Sakura colors of the complex, we started to feel at home. It's not like in some other hotels that you have to enter your room to feel at home. We were in room 1413, it's in a high floor with magnificent city view. The room was quiet, we have not heard neither the city nor other hotel guests, I worked in my room twice during the daily house keeping and I had a good impression from the work that has been done. I like european football, however, none of the hotel TV channels provided live streaming from important fotball matches in Europe, this is something that might be improved.

Pros: Beautiful view with clean facility. House keeping staff is amazing.

Cons: Building is situated in an obscured area with lack of directional signs. Local taxi drivers and private services have difficult time locating the hotel. Lobby area is located on the 16th floor without signs to help tourists navigating their ways. The 2nd floor (taxi area) has an overwhelming aroma, especially on humid days.

-The hotel did not honor complimentary breakfast as a part of Hyatt House for Explorist members. Breakfast was expensive with low quality, limited choices, and fruits.

-Tips for future guests: tell your private transfer or local taxi drivers to drop you off by the Shibuya Sakura Stage. It takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the hotel. Otherwise, they will get lost or ask you to find someone else. Good luck!!

This is a very difficult to locate hotel: Tokyo is probably the most complex city to navigate that I have been to, this hotel is in one of the most complicated parts of Tokyo (Shibuya) and not only that- the hotel is located in a mall-like mega structure and the hotel itself is hidden in a corner of the structure and is not labeled well. I have included a video of how to get to the hotel from the shibuya train station, please watch the video as it will help you quite a bit even if you are not starting off at the train station. The key is to immediately enter the superstructure walkway by going up any stairs or escalators that you can see, then walking towards the hotel and going to the 3F, even after that you have to know where to turn as there is one part that is not well labeled and you have to go through a long corridor just to get to the hotel (again see video) the lobby is actually on floor 16. The shibuya stop/complex is a very large structure with multiple floors, escalators, shops and the ground level is undergoing construction, so it is incredibly complicated and congested. As of the date of this review 3/26/2024 there is very limited signage as to the location of the Hyatt hotel within the shibuya structure, and in fact there is another hotel in this complex so some of the signs point towards the other hotel.

The hotel itself is quite nice and new, breakfast is fairly good. I’ve also included a video of the breakfast room, the gym is somewhat sparse: basically a couple of treadmills and elliptical and a set of dumbbells with no weight machines. Again the Shibuya train stop is not directly connected to the hotel, you need to know where you are going to get to the train stop . If this review has helped you, please consider giving me a like. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 5 nights during opening week. Spacious, clean (obviously!) room. Great breakfast buffet. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Special shout-out to Juliana who helped check me in and provided wonderful service after my long journey from the U.S. and a nightmarish 30+ minutes of being lost, walking around in circles in Shibuya at night with all of my luggage trying to find this hotel. The difficulty in finding the hotel feels like a grievous oversight by Hyatt/hotel management. PLEASE include walking directions from Shibuya Station on your website. The public signage is unhelpful (old so it doesn't include this brand new hotel) until the guest is basically on your doorstep, and Google has no info on the pedestrian walkway. I was close to rating the hotel fewer stars but at least by my second or third day I understood the route, and a <10 min walk to the station is hard to beat.

We were visiting from the USA and spent 3 nights. This hotel is about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Shibuya Crossing / Scramble and located on the quiet side. It is also about a 5 minute walk to Shibuya Station making the hotel a good place to stay when exploring Tokyo.

We did not make extensive use of the hotel amenities, but from what we could see everything appeared well cared for. Having a washer/dryer combo unit in our room was also a nice perk. Would recommend.

This Hyatt is a solid choice for your stay in Tokyo. Despite the other reviews saying it was difficult to locate, we found it to be quite easy to find. It is a very nice property, still smells new.

They are operating in a makeshift lobby right now and don’t have a full bar yet which was a bummer.

The main area is beautiful and the pool is stunning. Great views of the city.
The reason we would definitely return to this hotel was the location. It is not only less than a 10 min walk to Shibuya Station, but it’s connected via skyway to the station. So so convenient, especially during the spring rain!

We found sending our bag from the hotel to the airport a bit frustrating. This is pretty standard practice in Tokyo but the staff was very very confused and after 20 mins we had to leave to catch our train and just hope for the best. It did make it though!

Rooms are spacious with a little kitchentte but nothing to write home about. Overall we would return!
