I have mixed feelings about this place. I really like the vibe and ethos of the hotel. The bar and restaurants are buzzing, and the staff and service are excellent. But the standard room, bathroom and beds are very cool but really small, even for Tokyo, given the price. If you plan on relaxing in your room for any period of time this is probably not the place for you, but good as a city bolt hole in a good location. Be warned that comments about weddings overrunning the hotel are true, it didn’t bother us because we didn’t spend much time at the hotel but it was chaos in the lobby and bar with wedding guests lunch time and early evening on the weekend.

New & trendy. Cannot wait to try after opening just a few months. Super friendly and helpful staff. speaking so many languages. They hold me to stay till 3 nights. Once check-in, everything is impressed. But after 1 night sleep, it can be only pretty face for chic purpose. Every room set up is different. Am in Room 303, no writing deck, or proper desk to use laptop. Coffee without cream. Bed & pillar are not confirmtable as should be. no special for hanging clothes. Shelf corner is dangerous. Sound from the hallway. Bother me most, the air-con. Blow on the face and cannot sleep well. All 3 guests in Room 302, 302, 304 shared the same concern. Like the location, people, the atmosphere. And, hope they can equally good job on the room plan/offers for such a room rate.

I loved the layout and the interior of the room yet it was extremely overpriced. The wifi kept disconnecting and there was weird sounds from the walls and floors. Amenities are nice yet they use the full sized ones so no lil mini shampoo or stuff. I stayed in room 309 and there was blood stains i have to believe on the sofa. The carpet wasn't cleaned at all I could see different peoples hair and dust all over. Bed was clean thought. Overall I wouldn't really recommend because of the high price for the quality given. Great staff though!

This hotel is meant for weddings, there isn’t much service and the staff are like wedding planners. We had arrived early and was promised early check in but was told they had no information about this and asked us to come back later, when we did the same staff attended to us could not recognize us and forgot who we were when it was barely 2 hours ago that we spoke to her. They don’t help with bigger bags and you have to take them up to the rooms yourself. Rooms are really really tiny, toilet had barely space to turn around. Carpets were stained and dirty. They called us the moment we got to the room and instead of a welcome was told everything at the mini bar area is chargeable except the coffee and tea. They are so welcoming !!!! Noticed the sink was choked and called them but no one answered, when someone finally answered but with an unhappy voice and said loudly YES!!! When I told her about the sink she says she will send someone to check but the person never did. We did not bother anymore and left it as it was. When ever we used the sink we had to be careful not to flood the sink because of the choke. Staff are generally unfriendly and cold. You can see they are very fake even when they try to smile at you. Not worth the money we payed. A night costs around 500.

We decided to spend our last night of our 10 day Japan trip at Trunk Hotel before heading home to California.

We felt very welcomed and attended to at every stop. Upon arrival, they carried our luggage to the room. They personally escorted us around the building grounds then up to our room and answered any questions we might’ve had, very cute touch.

The night and morning bartenders were the stars of the show. They had no issue working up beautiful and delicious off-menu cocktails.

Breakfast was light, flavorful, and filling. Perfect before our long flight home.

The rooms were quant, very clean, and had a nice boutique vibe. Out of the 5 premium hotel/ryukan’s we stayed at, none had much in the way of clothing storage. I assume it could be a cultural difference. Regardless, that did not take away from our experience.

It was a beautiful and warm way to end an above and beyond vacation!

What a gem of a hotel….seriously! This boutique hotel is gorgeous. Beautiful decor, a very cool, bustling lobby with coffee/bar & boutique & staff who really were the icing on the cake. The staff were so friendly & extremely accommodating to our family. The hotel is located in an amazing location in Shibuya …close enough to cat st for cool shopping & there were a plethora of amazing eating options at your doorstep. Notable places: Streamer (the BEST coffee around…not to mention their red velvet cheesecake brownie) , SHIbuichi bakery for delicious hot out of the oven breakfast bagels, croissants, kaarage chocken sandwiches & baked goods. For dinner do not miss Kushi just by the hotel entrance. Delicious rice dishes, yakitori & curry-they also do a deal offering a free glass of wine to hotel guests with your order. Menchirashi udon noodles ALWAYS had a queue & Yai Yai okonomiyaki was delicious. Do not miss The Little bakery Tokyo for the most delicious gourmet cakes, sandwiches & baked goods around. A big shout out to Yukiya for making our stay super special…& going above & beyond to make our stay so memorable 🙌🏻

I stayed at the Tokyo Hilton before arriving here. While I have nothing against that hotel the Trunk was just such a better feel. From the location to the rooms to the amenities to the chill feel at the restaurant below. Don't miss the vegan plate for lunch. We'll be back.

Just love this place. It's so unique. From the pajamas to the drink's in the fridge. I also loved the vegan breakfast in the restaurant. They were also really great to my son when I had to step out for a meeting. We will definitely go back. The location is great too.

I think the easiest is to take an airport express limousine bus from Narita to Shibuya (maybe Tokyu Excel hotel) and grab a taxi. You could also take the Narita express to Shibuya station and taxi. Best to check the time table as you arrive to the airport and hop into whichever comes first as it takes about the same time to Shibuya.
