Hotel clean. Not upscale but comfortable. The staff were unwilling to answer questions or help get a taxi or give directions until I or any other guest confirmed they had a room number and they looked us up to see what kind of customer history We had. Maybe it's common or supposed to make me feel exclusive(?) in this district... More

Stayed here for 2 nites for a 3 bed room. Check in was smooth & they even let us check in 2 hrs earlier. Its quite a distance from Shinagawa station BUT its very breathless to walk to the hotel as you need to go up the slope. The free coffee with a food vending machine & having it in... More

While the staff of hotel is very friendly and helping. The hotel is pretty ordinary. It feels like that there has been no upgrade and the rooms are very basic. Location is good. Very close to Shinagawa station.

Location is great, just a short walk to Shinagawa Station where there is a convenience store and plenty of restaurants. Room had all the amenities you need (shower necessities, clothes freshening spray, etc). Staff was friendly. Rooms were small as expected (it's Japan!) but still had everything you need. However, there was no room safe, and the room was a... More

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
