I have been using this hotel for the last 10 years now. The service is 1st class and the restaurants and a bar they have are also great. It is getting slightly dates since the hotel is now over about 35 years old. All the rooms I have used does indicate the oldness. Rooms are always clean and good sizes....

My wife and I stayed here for several days. The hotel looks very upscale from the inside and definitely met or exceeded my expectations you have of a Sheraton. The room that my wife and I got using SPG points was an upgraded one and considering the size of real estate in Tokyo very spacious. Interior, furniture and TV was...

Yes, the surroundings of the hotel is quiet, but with the shuttle bus to the Meguro station, it won't seem that bad. If you're coming by train, the shuttle bus to the hotel is right outside the soup store where the confectionaries/pastry are sold. Stayed with wife and child, it's stroller friendly but true to past reviews, I did not...

Have had a lovely stay. Helpful staff and front desk: they helped us book a city tour when we arrived and got me a doctor quickly when I got sick. Decent room service food, though nothing to write home about. This is my first time to Tokyo, so by no means am I an expert on the neighborhoods, but it...

We spent a couple of days at this property while sightseeing in Tokyo. The location is definitely remote and took a few transfers on the metro to get anywhere of interest (something to consider if you want to be more centrally located); for us, it was fine as we are rather mobile in large cities. The hotel itself is very...

The hotel is used mainly by business travellers. there is a shuttle that provides a free ride to the meguro, or shinagawa station. very professional service. the one downside is it cost 16 dollars to use the gym. Breakfast buffet is good, the hotel is very well run.

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
