Perfect location and very tourist friendly hotel. It used to be the Le Meridien Tokyo, and as such the rooms are considerably larger than other similar standard hotel in the city. Everything is clean and functional, and at the right price (we paid $100USD/night for a twin room) is the best value hotel in Tokyo (and we have been here...

Title says it all. Very nice updated lobby, but rooms are not updated at all. They are clean and not worn out, but consoles that harken back to days before flat screens remind you that it's been some time since the rooms were revitalized Stayed for business, good value. Great views from restaurant on 30th floor.

We were part of a tour traveling through Japan and this hotel was included on our itinerary. We did not interface with the hotel staff, but the check in appeared smooth. The room was of a generous size for the Tokyo area and was well furnished and very clean. We had dinner at the bar downstairs in the main lobby...

Excellent location opposite the station (which if go through to the other side offers loads of good little restaurants, but the rooms are a bit dated and the aircon is centrally controlled....we wanted to turn the temperature down, but it was still set to warm for winter so we were a bit stuck. But as ever in Japan the staff...

This is my 4th visit here because if its location just opposite Shinagawa station. Good turned Fair because of points below... - I did love breakfast here but this time spending 6 nights with not much menu change as previous 3 visits. They switched day after day just only spring roll to fried chicken, and one kind of fish to...

Booked via Booking.com, decent value for money. Large rooms for Tokyo and Hotels in similar price range Modern rooms, not a business hotel feeling. The property has a significant choice of restaurants (which seem to be outsourced). Breakfast was very good, the Restaurant has a great view of the Garden Perfect Place as a base to discover Tokyo ! I booked this hotel thru Agoda. Got their superior double room at a fantastic price during Sakura season ( please don't confuse this hotel with their sister hotel nearby which is Keikyu Ex Inn Takanawa ( which is walking distance from this hotel). Just to give you some tips staying at this place: 1. If you are coming by train,...

The hotel is conveniently located, only 5 mins walk from Shinagawa Station. The room is quite spacious and the amenities are good. But what impressed me the most is the uprightness of the staff, I left behind my cell phone and they kept it for 4 days until I returned back to Tokyo. Another excellent service that this hotel provide...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
