It was the first hotel of our trip to Japan, it was perfect. Excellent location, near Shibashi station where both the Metro and JR lines pass, we moved around easily. The neighborhood is also nice and lively, there are lots of places open until late... and a 7 eleven for shopping right around the corner. Very kind staff, we were able to check in after midnight, they helped us with shipping our luggage to Kyoto and in general they were always helpful and smiling. I was prepared to have a tiny room (and we had some during the trip) but this didn't give me the idea of claustrophobia or crowding... the shower in the bathroom is fantastic... and then there are all the "amenities" free (which I also found in almost all the other hotels) and which are all very comfortable/tasty: toothbrushes, razors, face masks, detergents, creams and creams, as well as tea and coffee always available (and in the morning also a dessert or soup), convenient coin-operated washer/dryer (400 yen)... I would definitely go back

The bed was comfy. The bathroom had a large shower and not one of those inbuilt ones that have a shower curtain thank god. Ample space for luggage and good AC!
Disliked · The pillows are strange as they have beans or beads in them on the bottom and can not be held or used both sides for our head as the beans are quite firm. The breakfast was not nice. Its just a soup of some kind with a roll and the occasional scone that is hard as a rock. Also its in the foyer area so tiny. No were to enjoy it unless you take it to your room.

This is a nice hotel that provides everything you would want from a hotel. It has free coffee in the lobby and breakfast you can get for an additional cost, but we didn’t try that. The only problem we had with this hotel is that the room is quite small, even for Tokyo standards. We also happened to be here during the Hagabis typhoon, and with the window only opening about 10-12cm, the room quickly got warm and humid. Aside from that, it’s close to many things, like convenience stores and restaurants. From narita, you only need to get one train to come to the station closest to the hotel, so that was very convenient. Also, because the area doesn’t lie too close to tourist attractions and is situated in a side street, it’s very quite.

I don't want to give it even one star. The hotel staff's attitude is very bad. When I lost something in the room during my four nights, they described it as "something left behind" and said "I'm sorry it was lost" as if it was none of their business. After that, I was made to wait about 20 days for an "investigation". There was no reply until I asked. In the end, no compensation was given. In addition, during our stay, the fire alarm went off and everyone evacuated in the middle of the night. There was no comment from the hotel staff, and I don't know when I can return to my room. They say it's 6 minutes from the station, but it's not that close.

Stayed here for 6 nights while visiting Tokyo. The hotel and staff were amazing! I felt welcome from the time I checked in, until I checked out. The hotel is very modern, clean and the free coffee and treats in the morning were a bonus. The hotel is located in a great area with multiple restaurants, 7- eleven, and train stations. I highly recommend staying here.

My first impression was the rudeness of front desk, two were talking in Japanese and laughing while checking us in. The room was clean but it's the smallest I've seen and cannot fit our luggages. There was a huge gap underneath the door and we can hear every word from the hallway at night. The hotel is few minutes walk from major metro station.

Nice hotel, a little hard to find at first. A lot of fab restaurants and bars around shimbashi. Room was typically small, it is Tokyo after all. Bathroom was modern, great shower. The bed was a little hard for me, but was fine for hubby. Reception staff were helpful. Breakfast was communal but food was good. Loved the free water and coffee (24 hours) in the lobby

My husband and I stayed here for part of our 2 year wedding anniversary trip to Japan. We hesitated booking this hotel because we thought we'd like something bigger or fancier for our anniversary trip but I'm so happy we went with this hotel! It isn't for the fancy traveler (no diamond chandeliers and gold seats here), but perfect for the traveler who would like a clean and comfortable room while they're busy exploring Tokyo, Japan.
We love cleanliness in a hotel room (we literally bring Lysol wipes to wipe down hotel rooms :X) and this sometimes makes traveling can be "icky" for us. However, at this hotel, we felt comfortable and right at home right away.
I loved our room on the thirteenth floor. The room is smallish compared to hotels here in the US, but it was definitely not too small for us. We had two carry-on size luggages and two backpacks and we made it work easily in the space. The room is impeccably clean and they it has everything needed to make the stay comfortable.
Upon arriving, the front desk was so incredibly friendly and helpful. They greeted us every single time we came downstairs to the lobby and each time we arrived back from our adventures. They provided me with several packets of amazing skin products (made in Japan) to use during our stay, in addition to toothbrushes/toothpaste, new room slippers, packaged new body towels (those small towels for the shower), two razors, q-tips, shoe wipes, and so much more to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
Our bed was lovely -- not overly soft (no sinking in at all), and the sheets/comforter was soo fluffy. There are multiple places to charge all of our electronics, including our two phones, wifi device, laptop, camera, etc. and there are spots right on the headboard to charge as well. They also provided free wifi through the hotel at all. The bathroom doesn't have a tub but it does have an amazing toilet and shower. The toilet has a great bidet and the shower has the rainfall shower head, three size shower heads, and a removable shower head as well.
The location is wonderful as it is close enough to the hustle and bustle of Shimbashi, but not close enough that it would be difficult to sleep at night. My husband and I walked and used the metro/subway everywhere we went and it is a pretty short walk away from the station. Simbashi, where the hotel is located is also just a stop or two away from the other major areas, like the Tokyo Station or Ginza.
I definitely enjoyed their breakfast. It isn't an extravagant meal, but works very well if you are on the run in the morning to get to your next fun destination. The breakfast is in the cute lobby area with one large shared table. It was never too crowded. When we had their breakfast, they provided scrambled eggs, Japanese type sausages and hamburger patties, along with all types of croissants (chocolate and apple was my favorite), coffee milk, juice, tea, etc. They also have a latte/coffee machine in the lobby with to-go cups that you can use anytime. It is such good coffee -- definitely comparable to the coffee I purchased from a nearby cafe.
The staff is amazing. On our last day there, as we were heading out with all our luggage, one of the staff members literally RACED outside in the rain to give us a free umbrella. They insisted we take it because it was raining and it'd be helpful since we were walking to the station with luggage. I could not have asked for a kinder or more caring staff!
Thank you b hotel in Shimbashi! You've definitely made an impression on us :)

We stayed here for 8 nights in total in 2 different rooms - standard twin and superior double. although both options indicate that the room can accommodate 2 adults and 2kids, the superior works better as there is a little more space for luggage etc. standard twin felt a little squeeze for us, 2 adults and 1 child. although the bed sizes were the same. hope this may help those trying to choose between the room types.
Servjce wise - the B Shimbashi has a great team - everyone was friendly and helpful and it felt very cosy.
Location - there are many many F&B options around - we loved it! it was a little tricky finding the hotel on the first day we arrived - but once we found it and familiarise ourselves with the area, it was a short walk to the subway/train station - very convenient.
from NRT, we took the Keisei direct line to Shimbashi station (no need to change train or bus). It was very convenient.
Going back, we had wanted to do the same but Keisei line had a breakdown and we have to switch plans. Took the train to Tokyo station and then took the NEX to narita. Slight inconvenience but still ok.
Would I stay here again? Very likely!

I was looking for a cheap but nice place to stay in Tokyo for two nights and decided to give the b a try. According to what I've read, the hotel is brand new and a little tricky to find in Shimbashi as it's inside a cluster of buildings instead of located directly on a main street. Nevertheless, it's a nice hotel with lots of floors.
Nice, modern decor and a friendly staff greet you upon entry. May was very helpful and kind and set me up in a room on the 12th floor with a decent view.
One thing to bear in mind is that this is Tokyo and the hotel rates are very affordable (you could never get a hotel in Manhattan for these prices - even if it was a hellhole), which means that what you give up on is space. The room is pretty tiny. Tiny but everything has its' place and it's not too bad once you figure out where to place all of your belongings and jigsaw them into place. But they've managed to fit a double bed, tv, desk, safe, refrigerator, phone, clock, hot water bottle, cups and a complete bathroom in the tiny room - perhaps an engineering marvel!
So, it's small. Quite small. Definitely not like a room at the Park Hyatt, or the Celestine or the Sunroute (and I used to think that room was small) - but it's dramatically cheaper than any of those places so it's not too bad. Plus the location is good.
The hotel offers amenities but I didn't use any of them as I was just too busy going to places in Tokyo that I needed to visit. The hotel was strictly a place to sleep, shower and store my belongings while running amok across the city. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional 800 yen but I prefer to explore what the locals eat than eat what is most probably western food at the hotel. I live in the western world, I can eat bacon and eggs the rest of the year!
The surrounding neighborhood is interesting. There's an old school Japanese kissaten coffee house a block or two away and down some stairs into a basement. Lots of shops and eateries to check out in the evening on the walk from the hotel to Shimbashi station, which features the JR Yamanote line as well as two lines from the Tokyo subway, meaning that practically any destination in Tokyo and beyond is easily within reach. Just beyond the station is the Ginza district and then a short walk from there is Tsukiji Market. So there's lots to see and do within a short walk of the hotel.
I didn't give the b an excellent rating only because I think that should be reserved for hotels that really beat the mark. The b is a great place to stay, May is very nice, the location is well situated and I would readily stay there again.

I would not book one room for 4 at the B. Lovely hotel but it would be tight. I recall seeing the room with 2 twins and thinking that it was only marginally better than the double that I was in.
I don't want to be unfair because the place is nice and they might have a family room, but I would assume that 2 adjoining rooms is a better option.
