Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for 2 days. As expected in Tokyo, room was very small. Staff is very co-operative and they can understand little bit of english also. Very close to Nishikasai station (North Exit), just 2-3 minutes by walk. Nearby, Indian Restaurant is also there. The rates are cheaper in comparison to other similar hotels around that area.

I booked the Garden Suite Nagomi room for my mother and sister when they were staying in Tokyo. When I helped checked them in the room, we were pleasantly surprised how big and beautiful the room was. There was a lot of space, with the two beds on a raised platform above the main floor, which had tatami and a coffee table, perfect for relaxing and having tea. The window had a view to a private Japanese garden. If you have 2 people or more traveling with you, definitely recommend you book this room. ( they can setup futons on the floor for more guests)

Not a bad hotel. Relatively clean rooms are a nice size, and larger compared to comparable hotels in Narita. Still small compared to North American standards. The staff's English is quite limited, though they will assist in any way they can.

Our room was right next to the elevator, a corner unit with a view of the Tokyo Skytree, and windows on two of the four walls, therefore plenty of natural lighting. As for noise from the elevator, not noticeable to us.

This hotel is literally minutes away from the Tokyo Metro Nishi-Kasai Station.
If coming from the Metro station - exit the Station at the North Exit, turn left (West) at Y's Mart and down the street for 1 block. The hotel sits at the corner of the block, on your left.
At and near the Metro Tokyo Nishi-Kasai Station there are numerous shops, restaurants and other amenities. If you explore this area you will find an Aeon Convenience Mart and Aeon Grocery store within a 10-15 minute walk of this hotel.
This is primarily a residential area, therefore forget about the night life. Not a bad location to use as a base camp.
A Metro Day Pass will cost you 710 yen.

Breakfast (6:30-9:30 a.m.) is basically an assortment of breads, jam, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea. No eggs, or salad, so don't expect much.
Free internet is available in the room provided that your device has an Ethernet connection. WiFi is not available.

I was put in one of their newly renovated rooms and it was very clean and modern. Have no complaints, but wish the room was a little bigger. Still, for the price it was more than adequate.

Less than 5 minutes from the station.

Free breakfast was a bonus.

I cannot recommend Hotel Sunpatio enough. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, excellent buffet breakfasts, healthy and fresh. Mind you, the rooms are tiny, but what can one expect in one of the world's largest cities? The rates are reasonable, and, a great plus, the subway can be accessed about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff will direct you to a nearby swimming pool, which is also a bargain. All around are small restaurants, and across the street is a first-rate grocery store with fresh fruit, vegetables, tempura and cheeses. One staff member speaks English, and he was most helpful. The national English-language newspaper is available each morning at the main desk, free of charge. Give this hotel a try.

This is my favorite hotel, which I have liked and used since the Sun Patio, for family trips that I look forward to every year. But this year, when I entered the hotel's parking lot, a young female employee with glasses said to me, "There are still about 20 minutes until the scheduled time of 3 p.m., so is that okay? You can't enter your room until 3 p.m., is that okay?" without any greeting and without any consideration for the feelings of the guest who had finally arrived, and I was disappointed. I didn't say that I didn't want to pay the additional fee or that I wanted to enter the room right away. I think it was just me being selfish, but until last year, I was never told anything like that. After that, when I went to the front desk to process my luggage, a male employee said, "We are currently preparing your room, so please wait a moment." It was a pleasant response. I realized that the way you say things can make such a big difference in how they are perceived, even when conveying the same thing. I was given my room key about five minutes later. Also, when I checked out and checked in, a female employee responded to my greeting of "good morning" with a "yes." Then, when I left the parking lot, she operated the parking lot without greeting me, as I was standing in front of the garage. Even when the shutter opened, she didn't say hello. The system is that you get in your car and back onto the turntable, but there is no guidance and no one calls out to stop, as the car has its back to you. When they checked the car that was turned on the turntable and headed for the exit, it quickly left. Until last year, they guided me back properly, and they also called out to me to stop when I was in the designated place on the turntable. Thank you again, and be careful. It was a pleasant hotel as usual. However, one unmotivated employee made me wonder what the next time would be. I think you can't do your job if you can't at least say hello. The other thing is safety management. I want them to always guide the car behind because passersby, especially children, may jump out.

"All rooms are quiet. Even though my room faced towards the subway station, the slight sound of trains early in the morning merely served as a gentle alarm clock. If you want to sleep in, ask for a room facing away from the subway station."
