Nicely appointed hotel. It is close to Akihabara Station and all the lights and glamour Akihabara has to offer. The room normal for Japan ( small) clean and has everything you need. Has kettle tea and coffee (rare in Japan) and fridge most toiletries.

Conveniently located, just across the street from JR Akihabara station. Also surrounded by anime and manga and electronic shops. If you are a fan of these, this is the right place to stay. Not only that, with JR station just across the road, you can go anywhere easily. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Room is... More

Book at least a year in advanced, because this hotel is always full due to its convenient location. Stayed for 13 days, & room is small but just right since you're out most of the day anyway and tired end of the day & just wanted to rest.price was reasonable. non-smoking room is not always available but keep checking. A good hotel recommended, 5 mins walk from Akihabara JR station, have 2 convenient store nearby. Room is typically small so they decided no clothes storey(all clothes are hanging on wall) in spite of it, it save space for putting lugguage.

Stayed 4 nights over the Easter holiday last month at this hotel, the location cannot be more perfect for using the JR as well as Tokyo Metro. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and efficient. It is more a business hotel or for travelers that only need to rest their tired legs after sight seeing. From Haneda airport to... More

The room was small, but it was clean and organized. The hotel is in a great location because of the surrounding restaurants and Akihabara station. There is an extra charge if you want breakfast in the morning.

Brilliant choice across the road from akihabara station and right in electric town. Tokyo anime centre. Gundam cafe. Book off. Trader 1 2 3 and 4. Soft map. Don quiote. Even a back drop shop selling wwe merchandise. All right there. Lovely hotel. Your room card gives you lift access straight to your floor so there is no passing reception.... More

We stayed here for two weeks from March to April. The hotel is outside Akihabara train station enabling for good transportation around Tokyo and relevant airports. The room albeit small was very comfortable and had good amenities that enabled us to have a relaxing stay. The rooms come with a nice ensuite for a business hotel and the staff are... More

It's a very convenient location which is near Akihabara Station. Exit Central Gate and the hotel is across the street. It was windy and raining most of the time I was in Tokyo. So, it was great to have the station so close. I had an early flight so I arrived at the hotel around 7am. I asked them to... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
