Clean (serviced daily). Everything works - hot, strong shower, a/c, wifi, etc. Nice toiletries. Heated toilet seat was a nice surprise. Great location - just a few minutes walk to Jimbocho station, which has great connections to most of the popular Tokyo sites. LOTS of restaurants (even some Western ones) within a short walking distance and these are very good...

Hotel is average, small rooms as is normal and easy to find when arriving into Tokyo. Had to travel to find well reviewed restaurants. Would only recommend for a few nights. Price seems reasonable for what you get. Tokyo is expensive for good hotels!

I booked this hotel for whole 6 nights, on Miles&More hotel web site because of a mileage promotion. It was a huge mistake, because the hotel is terrible, despite all the good reviews here. It was one of the few hotels where the booking was non refundable and now I understand why. And deeply regret booking it. Everyone is writing...

Good location - just two minutes walk to metro station (Mita line, Hanzomon line and Shinjuku line). Lots of combinis and places to eat around (including those 24/7). As usual in Tokyo - pretty small rooms, but all the amenities are inside. So far so good... but! Breakfast is a disaster:( to be honest - it would be much better...

Hotel is in a quiet street walking distance from the subway (exit A5). The room was a standard size for Japan (not huge like in North America but it was decent). Staff was friendly despite their English being limited for some of them. We did not order breakfast with them (so we can't comment about it). While the hotel is...

My room at this hotel has clean with en suite bathroom and everything was working the way it should. The breakfast was not great. There are coin laundry machines in the hotel. I got to borrow an umbrella for free when it was raining. The staff was helpful. Even if I checked out 30 minutes late they did not charge...

I have stayed at many of the Villa Fontaine properties in Tokyo and have always written top-rated reviews. Sorry, but the Jimbocho property does not meet my expectations. I had booked a non-smoking room including breakfast. When I got there I had to wait for an hour because their check-in time is 3pm, not 2 pm like the other HVF's...

The room was very clean and neat, a big plus! The room was a very small but just like other hotels in tokyo. staff was friendly, the location is in a backstreet which is very quiet, and just 8 min by foot to the JR station "Suidobashi". Will stay there again.

Great hotel in the heart of Jimbocho, walking distance to Tokyo station and Akihabara. The hotel is extremely clean, new (or newly refurbished) and we were so pleasantly surprised by the overall experience of staying there. The staff is really helpful and they understand you well and speak okish English, which you do not find everywhere in Japan. Lovely amenities...

Very friendly hotel staff with good enough English, helpful with direction and stuff. Hotel location is close to a lot of good places, like Tokyo Palace, Akibahara electronic shops, and even the shopping streets in Ueno. We pretty much walked everywhere. Only when we were tired and took the metro back to hotel that we realized, Jimbocho station closest to...

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
