We stayed here during May. The owner is an old couple. The man was a little intimidating and and the wife were very hospitable. It's a good and cheap experience if you want to experience a traditional Ryokan. We had a great view of the backyard which had a pond, koi fish and a mini bridge. The location is about...

We stayed here for one night when we couldn't find an available hotel room in Tokyo, and it turned out to be a very nice stay. Maizuru is a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan. The owner and their wife are nice and willing to help you (since the place it's a bit hard to find at first, we even found him looking for us on the street!); the place is clean and extremely quiet at night.
