what an amazing set-up! lovely farm, and down the path (they let us drive to pack/unpack) nestled amongst the forest are the tents. we had Holly, a frills tent (well worth getting it for the shower, and therefore hot water for dishes etc), glamping with our 20mo (ordered travel cot) and nearly 4yo. kids loved it, 4 nights but could... This was our second Feather Down Farm experience and it was everything we could have expected. We were lucky enough to get the Beech tent which is on a ridge and set slightly apart from the other tents. Sammy and her family are wonderful hosts and we were very happy for our three children (11, 9 and 6) to wander... More

This was our first break with Feather Down Farm and it didn't disapoint. We had the most basic tent and it was amazing! Didn't want to leave.Everything you would need to cook was provided, including a coffee grinder and some coffee beans. The farmer was very attentive to everyone. The kids were warm and toasty at night in the cupboard! The site itself is... We've been to 5 Featherdowns and enjoyed every one - the open views, lovely play areas for kids and comfy tents but we did not get these at Midgham. At Midgham we opted for a cabin hoping for a little step up from the Frills tents which are lovely but cabins a huge disappointment - we will not book Midgham... More

With 2 y/o twin boys and an active 7 y/o girl what could be more fun than some canvas & countryside. Midgham Farm was duly booked and we had a fantastic time. The reception from the team at the farm was first class and the facilities were great. We had packed enough food for an army which, in retrospect, was... More

This place is beautiful! All the tents/cabins are nestled in their own private little areas of pretty woodland. We went for a romantic break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was bliss, so relaxing and fun. Sam and her family are very helpful and friendly hosts. This is not only perfect for a romantic break outside of school holidays,... More

We stayed 3 nights with 4 other couples and 9 children. I am very good at finding defects and faults with places....but I could not! Fantastic fun, great place to have fun with friends and children. Sammy, the host is lovely and very accommodating and helpful! The place has a real working farm feel and a lovely shop. Will be... More

Stayed in 2 wooden lodges and 1 canvas lodge with a party of 16 (adults and children). Wooden lodges sleep 6 - double bed- very comfortable, 2 in mezzanine floor- very warm and comfortable -low head room and 2 in cupboard bunk beds. Cupboard beds are very cosy (son didn't like them felt claustrophobic). The lodges are really warm and... More

Our Second Trip to a Feather Down farm and we loved it. Great area for the kids to interact with the animals and a good honesty shop. Fab pizza oven and the location in the woods was absolutely amazing - my only slight disappointment was the communal fire pits rather than an individual one per tent, wouldn't stop me booking... This was a bit of a last minute decsision - for the rest of the year we can't really afford the indulgence of a FeatherDown farm while we have our own Bell Tent and log burner to go camping with - however, as the rates for this time of year are lower than any other (pretty much) we went for...
