All the people working there are fantastic and kind, the rooms are quite good and to stay outside in the evening is great. The only "no"? It's in the middle of nowhere. Just realised that I have to wright some more words, as Trip Advisor doesn't like short notes...

I stayed here with a group of 23. The rooms were good enough. The real highlight was the dinner and the service of the staff. We drank lots of great wine and coffee. Breakfast the next morning was also good.

Excellent price for a very clean room and hotel in general. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than enough and the general feeling of the hotel was good. It's just a shame that there were so many surrounding rooms with guests obviously being pilgrims, some going to bed very late and others getting up... More

We walked the Camino in 2015 and kept seeing signs while walking for this place. When we got to Tui, all the other hotels were full so one of the hotels were kind to call Hotel Alfonso I for us. They came and picked us up and brought us to the hotel. Real friendly staff. We were very happy with... More

The hotel is good. It really deserves all its three stars of rating, that's for sure. May be it's even great for those who travel by car, but not for backpackers or pilgrims. The not so good thing is its location - it's like in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is freaking (about 5 km) far away from the... More

Room a little shabby but spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Outside area was a lovely place to have a quiet light dinner. Booking system caused issues: the links didn't work, the process bombed out and the "cancel booking" button didn't work. Sadly, the hotel didn't answer my emails either.

We were walking Camino Portugues, we could have called Alfonso as they provide a pick up/drop off service for pilgrims..... if only we had learned more Spanish !!! Such a welcome respite from the pilgrimage, hot BATH !!! A good breakfast to set up for another days walking after being dropped off back on the "Path", highly recommended.

We stayed here 2 nights on our Camino de Santiago, and took advantage of the great service they offer pilgrims - they picked us up at the end of the walk and brought us back to our comfy hotel bed (with a much appreciated bathtub!), then in the morning delivered us to where we left off. No need to carry... More

Our Camino to Santiago started in Tui. This hotel provided us great service but the lights in the rooms and stairs was way too dark for us. They use the system of lights go on as you walk in but the stairs and rooms need more brightness.
