We loved our stay at Can Carbo. It is an oasis of tranquility and beauty near Peralada, a half hour from France, an hour from Gerona, hour and a half from Barcelona. Spacious, luxurious, tastefully decorated rooms, with nice firm beds and a big shower. Scrumptious breakfast buffet with various local specialties, fresh coffee and tea, and eggs any way...

What a delightfully peaceful oasis! Beautifully appointed rooms, surrounded by prettily planted courtyards. Delicious breakfasts with a witty host. He gave great suggestions of local beaches, walks & eateries. Lovely countryside and the best birdsong we have ever heard.

We wanted a place near some wineries on our drive from Barcelona to Costa Brava and settled on this place. It is very close to a couple wineries we visited that we loved. It is quite off the beaten path so we're thankful to have had GPS on our phones. The nearby town is quaint, but not much to see....

This is our fourth visit to Can Carbo over the past 8 years. Much has been achieved to further improve the guests stay, and the shrubs and plants have grown, making the visit even more restful. Beautifully restored Farmhouse. Each room created out of separate rooms previously used for farm production, e.g. Olive pressing room. A lot of the old features restored.. Very peaceful, set in rolling countryside overlooking Peralada. Excellent for touring holidays where a relaxing environment is needed in the evenings.

Beautifully rebuilt masia (taditional catalan farmhouse) in the vicinity of Peralada, with big comfortable rooms and great breakfast. The access is a little bit tricky since it crosses a river that may be cut off in case of rains. Should not be a problem in summer. The ownser, an Englishman, explained he can prepare meals for groups if booked in...
