Poderi Firenze is located in calm enviroment surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and it is just right choice, if you would like to rest. The building is combining old and new architecture features, so you would find yourself in dining room with stones walls overlooking vineyards via fantastic huge windows or bedroom with light underlining the atmosphere created by old stone/masonry walls. And when you add two fantastic, charming ladies-Valeria and Flavia, who lead the agroturismo, your stay will end up to be the best in Tuscany. I would like to thank them for all things that they have done for us beginning with wonderful breakfast with homemade gluten-free cake for me, tips for trips and restaurants as well as amazing wine tasting that we have done at agroturismo.
Lovely B&B surrounded by beautiful Tuscan vineyards, where you can try the wine produced there. The staff were fantastic and produced a beautiful breakfast every morning. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
From the moment we arrived after a bit of time searching for it, Flavia and family make you feel super welcome. After being introduced to a spotless clean minimalist room overlooking rows and rows of Firenze's vines, we were treated to fresh figs, flat breads and an ice cold bottle if Vermentino in the dappled shade on the terrace. The pool is in a spectacular setting although its a tad on the chilly side. The breakfast here is great and dependent on what's been delivered that day or what's been picked from the garden. Nearby Cinigiano is a cute Tuscan town with few amenities, although the pizza at Rintocco is exceptional. As is the Sangiovese!
The location is unique and the landscape a once-in-a-life sight. We only stayed there one night as we were touring the area on a road trip, but we could have easily stayed there a week... heck, a whole month! The guest house is an old farm that has been renovated with a ultra minimalist design mixing the traditional stone walls and wooden beams with a calculated scarcity of design pieces of furniture... Only for those with a sensitivity for modern design. Useless to say that we absolutey loved it! Bonus to all this, the wine produced on the podere's domain is just awesome... and cheap! Don't forget to bring back a crate or two with you.
We have been in september 2012, spending 5 nights. It was after high season, so the house was empty and we got a good price. We rent 2-bedroom apartment. We couldn't believe the images from the web may be true, but they were - checked. The owner, Flavia, as proffesional interior designer restored the house in tasteful style. It was created a traditional stone farmhouse with modern interiors. It's pity that all rooms are on the 1st floor. There is no good connection to the terrace. Common spaces are large and comfortable. We were greeted by the owners, Flavia and Gianluigi of a bottle of wine, of their own production. The owners live in the house next door, so they are usually available. Landscapes and surroundings are beatiful. Access road is paved and well-marked.
