we promised we would be back, and we were, A last minute booking yet again, a late check in , no problem at all, we were given one of he newly refurbished rooms, amazing, spotless, big comfy bed, massive TV, everything you could wish for. And then the breakfast, possibly the best selection I have ever seen, truly amazing, fresh... More

At the price I was expecting average or below average. Not at all average😊. From check in to check out, a warm welcome. Spacious room, warm and very clean. Big 40+ inch flatscreen tv, large superking size bed which was extremely comfortable. Newly fitted out ensuite shower room and loo. Very smart bathroom fixtures. Room well equipped with generous tea... More

Is why is this hotel so cheap ? Having paid £45 for a single room I arrived with fairly low expectations but was greeted by a friendly young man who lead me to a spacious twin bedded room with spotlessly clean shower room with good quality toiletries. He then offered me a jug of fresh milk for the tea and coffee... This is such a lovely place to break the journey on the way to Scotland. The outside of the hotel doesnt prepare you for the warm welcome inside. From the moment we entered we were made to feel like honoured guests and nothing during our stay changed that opinion. We stayed in the front downstairs bedroom and the room was... More

Stayed in the room at the front of the hotel with a four poster bed and very luxurious bathroom. As always the welcome was warm and nothing was too much. I had an evening meal which was excellent, home cooked and filling. Also a bottle of wine which washed it down well. Thoroughly recommend this B&B. We will be back... More

Stopped here after the first days walking from Bowess. Good place to stop if you are doing hadrians wall as it passes within a mile. Rooms were comfortable and a pint in the bar was appreciated after a long days walking. We got a taxi into Carlisle in the evening for food.

The place is run down. Our room had a foisty damp smell, the mattress was hard and uncomfortable & the road noise was bad even through the triple glazing. The wardrobe had a big crack through the door. It was a rip off at £70 per night feel really conned. Don't recommend and wouldn't Ever go back.

I visit Park Broom Lodge with my work and it is my "Go To Place" to stay every time. Kath and her team give you a special welcome every time and the rooms are big and comfortable beds. The two newly added rooms are amazing, the family room with a balcony a great addition. Fantastic value for money and a... More

Right on the main road, literally and it all looks very run down at first appearance. Our room was a the front and had triple glazing which did stop the constant traffic noise, but the room got unbearably hot instead. Our worst night sleep for ages. The restaurant is the saving grace - absolutely loved the haggis/neaps starter and Trout... More

Thank you for writing this review. The location of our guest house is clearly marked and described as being on the A689 which is a main road. Our house was built in 1903 when traffic wasn't a problem. We have done our best to mitigate this with very good triple and secondary glazing . I am sorry you were too... More
