Detailed Reviews
Although this is away from the main city centre of Albury, it's still close enough by car to get to all the facilities, shops, and attractions you may wish to see.
And there are quite a few locations nearby (within walking distance), to satisfy any hunger pangs - although the motel does have it's own restaurant.
The room is simple, and clean. And the air-conditioning was great. And much needed.
As with most motels, you have people coming and going at all hours of the day and night, so it's unfair to review the property based on inconsiderate people making too much noise, but be prepared for a bit of noise from other room occupants. But a comfortable bed, a clean room, a hot shower with good water pressure is all I need to keep me happy.
And all for a reasonable price.
Check-in is a little different from most motels (depending on the time of day), as you're at a desk near the pub / restaurant facilities, and may need to wait for a staff member to answer the bell and take care of you. But booking online means all instructions will be texted to you, etc/

After our first visit to the Boomerang we have made it our regular stop on our way to Melbourne. If you call you'll get a great price, plus you get 10% off meals and free continental breakfast. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, there's a pool table in the pub, massive tv screen in the beer garden, usually snacks in the gaming area and the beers are always cold!

My daughters and I had an overnight stay here and were more than happy with our stay. Our room was conveniently located to the back of the complex which reduced a lot of road noise (there was minimal traffic anyway)
Front desk staff were very helpful, beds were very comfortable, room was clean, older style decor but still for a quick stopover was perfect for what we needed
The free continental breakfast in the morning was an added bonus. Enough for us before we headed off for the day

After a long drive checked into a very welcoming welcome from manager, Lachlan. Our room was modern, very clean with private ensuite, crisp linen and puffed pillows with terrific water pressure in the shower!
10% off dinner in the bistro (mango and avocado salad and dumplings) was great value. Easy free parking too. However the complimentary continental breakfast was the icing on the cake. Will return and will recommend this stopover as often as we can.
Thanks Lachlan and Maddie, keep up the great standard.

For us the Boomerang is midway between home and Canberra, we stayed on the way to Canberra and because we enjoyed it stayed again on the return trip.
The motel is part of the larger Hotel complex and although not the Ritz it is comfortable, clean and has all the appointments that you may need for a short stay. BONUS, rooms are very reasonably priced.
The rooms vary in age but are neat, tidy and clean. The bed was very comfy providing a good nights' sleep. One criticism, especially me getting a bit older, is the bathrooms. The first bathroom had a shower over bath which in itself is not that easy to navigate, the second bathroom was more modern with a shower recess, but the level of the floor in the bathroom is considerably higher than the room floor and again is a real trip hazard.
Restaurant in the hotel is great. Good food, inexpensive and very tasty. The Thursday night steak night is a real winner, a 250gm rump, chips and salad for a mere $15.00, and you get the added bonus of the Nepalese kitchen staff providing what I call accidental entertainment. Their constant banter, jokes among themselves and other staff plus singing is very refreshing.
HIGHLIGHT, front office, bar, floor and kitchen staff are some of the happiest and most helpful staff/people you could find. Nothing is too much trouble. If my rating were to be done on them, it would be 5 star. They are a credit to the establishment and management should be congratulated.

We visited the Boomerang Hotel, Albury, for dinner and drinks on 19th February as a group of three, during a two night stay in the area.
The drinks were very reasonably priced, a large bottle of wine for $24 served in an ice bucket with chilled glasses by a very friendly barman.
It was pretty late to last orders for food, but the staff were friendly and helpful, and our meals were all truly delicious, akin to a top class restaurant.
Thank you to Chris, and the rest of the staff, would highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night in a ground floor room. The room was super clean and warm when the AC was turned on. Bed was comfy and shower hot. Breakfast included a selection of cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt and muffins. After drowning in a sea of Albury hotel reviews this just added up. Great value stay!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The Venue was very central and near most places. The rooms were a lil outdated (if I have to nitpick). But it was immaculately clean. The showers were great and doesn’t matter what time you shower the water was always warm! The Bistro’s food was yummy as well as the free Brekky in the morning!

There were 12 of us booked in for dinner at 6:30pm tonight. Pressured to order using the QR code on the table which some of us did & for this ‘privilege’ I paid a fee on top of the meal cost. My order was placed online at 6:54pm at almost 8pm I spoke to a staff member as no one at our table had received any food and was told they would look into it and get back to me. No update & hubby went to speak to them and was told 15 - 30 minutes & they would be out. Still no food after another 30 mins and it was after 9pm before all meals were out & yet people ordering after us had their meals & left. The chap in charge seemed to think it was a joke & did not take it seriously & offered drinks noting that we had already purchased a few rounds while waiting so long for our meals. The food was definitely not worth the wait & we would definitely not recommend this venue.
