LOCATION Severin Sea Lodge is an oasis of calm and recreation in an extensive palm garden. The hotel is located directly on the shores of the Indian Ocean on Bamburi Beach, approximately 12 kilometres from Mombasa Town and 20 kilometres from the airport. Mombasa is the second largest city of Kenya and is famous for the Portuguese fortress Fort Jesus and the Elephant Tusks. Airport transfers in our comfortable and air-conditioned mini buses are organized by our team on request. STYLE Our hotel has been constructed with loving care in the traditional Swahili style: the round bungalows, the main buildings and the two swimming pools are harmoniously located within a vast grove of palms. Our rooms and suites are equipped with handmade wooden furniture and designed in a classic natural style. ACCOMODATION Severin Sea Lodge has 188 rooms divided into different categories: the classic Karibu Best Price rooms in a traditional Arabian style, the modern Comfort Garden Building rooms, the popular Comfort Bungalows and our suites with hand-made Lamu furniture. The hotel was awarded by TUV Rhineland in Germany, an internationally well-known certification company, for its first class service. For us it is very important to offer our guests fresh and high quality food. Our vegetables and fruits come from our own biological farm, the Seba Farm, where no artificial fertilizers are used. The Kisima Restaurant has been upgraded to reflect the high quality and service that Severin Sea Lodge has become famous for. It is open for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in the evening. Our dinners differ from set a la carte menus to themed buffet nights. The Safari Bistro is situated next to the Safari Bar and has an Italian theme to its menu, specializing in pizza and pasta. Came here after a terrible experience in another resort. This is my go to place when around the Kenya coast. The staff are friendly, from arrival you feel relaxed, offered a seat and a drink while they check you in. Food and cocktails were great, all in all they rescued my R&R weekend. Sad due to time constraints I never got my massage but definitely next time.

Atmosphere was nice and peaceful, loved the rooms and the beach front. Loved the staff and the waiters as they were so friendly, and nice management team. Then the Safari to Tsavo west was the best. I’m currently in Nairobi a d would visit soon again.

This time it was an old touch, established in 1972 is this hotel, butiful with an old feeling, old culture with its own design and spacious rooms, very accomodative ones. I loved everything, and food, and bar, and swimming, and the sea breeze and the beach and walks around this spectacular hotel friendly reception. My stay was wonderful and one to remember. Thanks to Magrate and his team, Richard or call him Peter at the bar. I will come again

They score ALL major points in anything and everything hospitality. We stayed there for a night and wanted to extend just because of the service. It was kind of the hotel to serve buffet options despite not being full capacity. There is a very good customer service culture in the establishment; from the gate to the rooms to the kitchen to other amenities. We had a sea food platter which was HEAVENLY! Straight from the sea 💯 Something worth mentioning there are security officers spread out in the hotel; safety and security is a priority. 6/5 is more like it.
