This was our second stay at Bedrock, this time as a stopover off the Savannahlander train from Forsayth to Cairns. Most of our group went off to Undara and as we had been there only a few months ago we headed to the shop for a Vanilla Slice 'fix'. They do make a fantastic slice hear along with their many other baked treats. After our slice goes down we spent few hours lazing around enjoying some cold drinks before heading off for dinner at the campsite centre. This trip were were in cabin 12 and it was just as nice and well appointed as the ones at the front were last visit. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone travelling through the region.
A nice place with good facilities. A good swimming pool and mini golf and other activities. The store here was very good with local produce and art for sale. You can get what ever you need here and the accomodation was very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff well a visit.
Stayed for one night in a two bedroom cabin. Cabins tidy, spacious and clean. Did the Undara Lava Tube tour as a family of 4 with David . Have that one on one with David as we did a half day tour was sensational. He was informative, succinct and entertaining. Morning tea was provided as home cooked treats by Tracey and they were scrumptious. You’d be an absolute fool to ever skip going on the tour.
We called in on the off chance that the cafe was open as we travelled through, the lady went over and beyond to help as the cafe wasn't open, she heated some pies for us and turned the coffee machine on to make us coffee
Fantastic Park peacefully great location full facilities Pool, kitchens outdoor fire area shop, right in town great cabins air con t.v shower toilet, friendly staff tours to nearby national Park Undara Larva tubes, great wood fired pizzas
We stayed for one night in a cabin. The cabin was small with no sitting area but it was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. It was advertised with wi-fi but it was not available in the cabin.
We had booked into Bedrock village in a cabin as part of our journey to Cobbold Gorge. Really friendly and helpful staff and while getting late in season the ability to get meals was appreciated. The village has a range of accommodation as well as the caravan sites. Was a great spot and well worth the stop.
Came north to visit Undara but wanted a bit more of a self contained accommodation option. What I liked about Bedrock is that they offer everything from a van site, shared block all the way up to family cabins. We stayed in a Copperfield Cabin (6) and found it to be pretty much perfect for us. The park offers lots for an extended stay. There are multiple BBQ areas, A fire pit to sit around and chat, If you want a break from self prep of meals they have that covered as well. Oh - they bake goodies every day so if you like a vanilla slice or muffin or other treats they are all there - Vanilla Slice was great! You can walk from the park through town and visit the Railway Station AND you can book tours to Undara and other experiences right there at reception. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone in the area.…
We stayed here for two night as we couldn’t get accomodation in Undarra. The park was great. Very busy. We stayed in a cabin which was equipped with crockery, cutlery, etc. it was very comfortable. The was a meeting area around a campfire if we had been around to attend. A guest laundry, camp and pizza oven in the camp amenities too. We had a nice walk around the facilities first morning there and a great store with food all cooked on the premises. Try a vanilla slice, beautiful. Only a short distance from the drag in Mt Surprise. A delightful railway station museum. Pleasant little town and only half hour or so from Undarra Lava Tubes
