We have had a wonderfull stay in il Giardino. Communication with Katerina was very good (Before booking and during our stay). All staff and the owner Gabrio were very friendly and helpfull. Our appartement Geranio was very spacious with a big terrace. You can eat at the Agriturismo 5 days a week. And we highly recommend you do. The food is very tastfull. In the small town Acone, 5 minutes away, is a simpele but very good pizza and pasta restaurant. The next town is a 20 minutes drive down the mountain on a small road with scharp corners. On il Giardino is a nice pool with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Our kids (age 5 and 7) loved helping feeding the animals at the farm. They could help every day. And off course the horseback riding lesson from Katerina. Main attraction in the area is off course Florence. For kids from age 4 and up there is a fantastic Adventure Parc called il Gigante, 45 minutes away. Our kids (and we too) had a great time at this climbing parc.

This place was simply amazing! My husband and I stayed there with his parents, brother and sister-in-law for 1 week. I have to admit, when we were driving up, I was freaking out! Where the heck were were going?! When I saw the rooms, I wasn't super impressed either. They are dated, furniture is dated, the room felt very cold. But as soon as we met Gabrio, and got a glimpse of our amazing view for the week, none of that mattered anymore. And then we tasted the food...and I never wanted to leave! This place is the real deal agriturismo. The staff are so dedicated and hard-working and the food is phenomenal. Every meal I had blew me away! I felt like I had a personal chef because every morning Gabrio would ask us what we wanted to eat for dinner. He would make suggestions and create a personalized menu for us. He always made us taste local dishes and the portions were abundant! I had some of the best food I have ever had in all of Italy! I would definitely recommend having dinner there if you decide to book this place. FYI: they do not serve dinner on Thursdays.
You are far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet, but close enough to so many great cities that makes day-tripping easy. In 1 week we visited Florence, Siena, Greve in Chianti, Panzano, Lucca, Il Castello del Trebbio, and we did a wine tasting in Poggio alla Malva.
Amazing, super generous, friendly staff. You feel like family! I can't say enough positive things about Gabrio, Dorina and Caterina. An incredible experience and a place I am truly looking forward to visiting again someday. I highly recommend this place!

The place is perfect to experience country side in Tuscany. People are great, very welcoming and very open to accommodate you (example food requests). The nature surrounding the place, view from the villa, the calm and the birds singing made this an authentic trip and an amazing experience. It is great for both families with children (nature, pool, animals) as well as for a solo trip, to find oneself. Riding instructor was very kind, patient and experienced and clearly loved the horses. The food and the sweets were delicious...be warned of the extra weight you might gain:). Gabrio and Dorina, thank you for receiving me and for making this an unforgettable experience!

Great place if you are looking for an authentic, raw and open nature experience. With everything that follows with that. The apartment we had was equipped with exactly what was needed, but nothing more. Beds etc. where fine. Note: shop before you go up the mountain to the place. You'll need to buy soap, water, cloths etc. Very cozy tavern. Pool and facilities are very worn-out, but functional. Cool with the animals on the ground - we had pony's and donkey's walking freely around, but accept that when there's animals there's also what follows animals. More flies etc..
So if you are in for a holiday in the Tuscany mountains, that is authentic, affordable and good in all it has - then this is the place. If you are looking for luxury and an up to date experience, then other places might be better.

The best holiday we ever had. The team, accommodation, views, food, everything was perfect. We hired a car and were able to drive down to the local town for the railway station. From here we went easily by train to Florence, Venice and Rome. By car we went to Lucca, Sienna and Pisa. The team work so hard and are so friendly absolutely loved it, This is everything I imagined Tuscany to be. Stunning.

Beautiful location. Brilliant views from rooms and terraces. Wonderful meals. Quality, value for money, on site activities. Staff couldn't do enough to make you welcome. Strongly recommended. Florence is only 30 minutes away. Recommend you use the train from Ruffina.

We went with our 2 teenagers to Acone. It was just great ! The complex is located in the middle of nature, olive trees, wineyards, and a mile away from the tiny village of Acone and around 4 miles aways from small city of Rufina. The road to get there is narrow, but it is worth the trip. Around the complex, there are tracks perfect for hiking or jogging. The apartments are located in an old bulding, with all necessary appliances. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Our teenagers managed to rent a tennis court in Acone. Laurence GHERARI

We spend one week at Acone. We were lucky with the weather and had a really beautiful time. The way to arrive is not easy (small streets) but the location is great. We met friendly people. Our dog loved this area. Martin and Patricia with Blue from Germany and Najiba from USA

Stavo pensando di venire con un gruppo di amici con relativi bambini appena la stagione lo permette, ma avete una capienza massima di posti? Così giusto per regolarmi.
Grazie mille per la sua risposta.
