Been here quite a few times for meetings a wedding Xmas party etc and every time think this could be a top destination but for some reason the current owners seem quite content to leave it in a rundown state?!! Bar area is old out of date closed most of the time anyway just needs modernising. Now I understand it's...

This is the fourth year we've been to Cave Castle on our Club's mixed annual Easter trip. From the first meet and greet to departure all the staff were friendly and helpful. We are a large party and we're accommodated each evening in the clubhouse bar (which was kept open especially for our use) Non playing spouses had access to...

First time of visiting but hopefully not the last. We wanted somewhere different to take our friends and this certainly impressed. The surroundings are beautiful, the interior atmospheric and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent and beautifully presented - the sirloin of beef was succulent and generously served. The only disappointment was that they had run...

Looking rather tired in daylight but mostly OK. Searched 19 drawers and 3 cupboards for hairdryer without success. Long life milk was off. You fetch your own coffee and cups at breakfast from vacuum flasks, cheap motel style. Coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage were cold. Orange juice wasn't Staff not interested when informed.

I attended a family wedding here in March and stayed for 3 nights. Perfect venue, castle walls, golf course, lake with ducks and geese. Beautiful backdrop for the photos. Room was large, too dark - lighting needs addressing - very gloomy. Clean and comfortable bed and huge old fashioned bathroom. Staff at Reception were efficient and any queries were sorted...

This hotel is situated in such a beautiful environment that I was actually overwhelmed! The hotel itself is extremely beautiful but the grounds outweigh this by far. Rooms were really nice but slightly dated, as was the restaurant - however both were still remarkably good. The staff were usually polite and friendly barring the odd occasion, but other than that,...

Very nice hotel - lovely old building set in nice grounds. Room was clean, fairly modern, spacious and very good value. Staff generally pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was also very good - buffet style with plenty of choice. The reason for the '3' as opposed to a higher rating: We specifically chose this hotel for the spa and pool facilities...

We stayed at the hotel the day after our wedding to wind down and what a lovely place this is. The Castle is not too big but is very impressive and boasts its own health club with large pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and sauna. There's a golf course on site and we went for lunch in the club which...

Mid afternoon lunch for 2 couples . The bistro near the swimming pool area is just right for a tasty hot lunch. Good menu to suit all tastes . We had scampi & chips with super salad and a warm chicken salad. The food was well prepared and good size portions. The service ,surroundings and quality were excellent. We will...
