This was the only large resort hotel we stayed in during our trip and overall we very much enjoyed our stay. We especially loved our 'honeymoon' executive suite which was a luxurious villa at the edge of the site with just stunning views of the mountains. It had spacious sitting and dressing areas, a large terrace and garden area with...

Our bedrooms were the superior ones facing the mountains and excellent. Comfortable beds and sitting area were in front of huge floor to ceiling windows with the most breath taking views of the rugged mountains. The bathroom was large and well appointed spotlessly clean but the shower has no door and water sprays over the floor no matter how hard...

Great hotel located in the Drakensberg area, approx 5 hours drive from Jo'berg. The hotel is some what dated in style, but this is made up for with stunning location and great access to walking areas. There are daily guided walks from the hotel, and these are graded according to difficulty. Fortunately, we had booked the honeymoon suite, and the...

We were visiting over a weekend, upon arrival we were greeted by the welcome drinks and the most friendly concierge, that assisted us in checking in and getting our luggage to the room. The newly upgraded rooms were spectacular, the bedding of the utmost quality, the fact that we could choose if we wanted feather pillows or not was wonderful,...

Hotel is a little dated but this is part of its charm, the rooms are spread out in a series of annexes radiating out from the central areas. Rooms are spacious, en suites a little old but kept very clean. The hotel provides a huge range of food for all 3 meals of the day. Big dining room where you...

I have been going to Cathedral Peak for well over 35 years - firstly as a child and then spent both our honeymoon and 20th Wedding anniversary there. Yesterday on another of our anniversaries, we decided to spend the day there beginning with breakfast. Having phoned beforehand, my husband was told we could simply arrive for breakfast. We paid all...

Rode in as a group on motorbikes while touring SA. We arrived late and we were fed and catered to even after dinner had finished. It wasn't until the next morning that we got a look at the views that surrounded us in the form of the Drakensberg Mountains! It's like you've been transplanted into some surreal art photograph. You...

We spent three idyllic days hiking and playing golf on what to me is the most beautiful golf course I have ever played. Service is excellent, accommodation and meals very good. There are no other facilities or attractions nearby but there is enough to do on site to keep a family busy for at least four days.

The hotel is a good 3½ hours north of Durban and is imbedded in the beautiful World Heritage site Drakensberg. The mountains is lush green all the way up to the tops. The rooms are big and the food was fantastic best hotel food we experienced. Beautiful walks simple or very tough plenty to choose between. The magnificent Cathedral Peak...

We stayed three nights at Cathedral Peak. The location is stunning and we stayed in a room that had been refurbished. The room was lovely but it was a shame you couldn't see the main mountains from the room just a roof of the block in front. The food was good and the service excellent. Lots of really nice well...
