For a break from the hustle and bustle and stress, Midmar Chalets provide with enough comforts to make the trip easy. Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, lovely veranda. Super braai area. Chalet was cleaned daily. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant was quite awful - no coffee and no pies. Food less than average. Rather drive a kilometer up...

The place is excellent for couples romantic outings, good for team building sessions, good for companies bossberad and conferences. The self catering chalets are so nice and comfortable. A weekend away makes you come back refreshed and rejuvenated.

As a family we spent Christmas and New Year at Midmar, some stayed in the rustic cabins and others in the chalets, all had the same disappointing experience. Units were dirty and throughout the stay, were only ever cleaned superficially and NOT daily. Parties seem to be encouraged and noise is not an issue. If you want peace and quiet,...

Midmar Dam is an excellent outing for the whole family. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the area. The toilets were decent as well. We had a braai and some much deserved quality family time. Definitely recommend this place for a day out with the family.

We used to love the Midmar chalets and have stayed there often. This weekend the 30-31st October 15, we stayed in the 2-bed chalets. On arrival on 30th at 5pm there was a party of around 20 people shouting, ululating and drinking at a chalet below us. They had booked one chalet to use as a base for a huge...

Myself and my husband have participated in the Midmar Mile swim for the past three years. It really is a fantastic venue for a sports event and a short break. The camping grounds are really lovely, close to the water, on lawn and with decent ablutions. There is also a restaurant on site. There are plenty of activities in and...

I have been visiting this dam for over 20 years. We do boating and all sorts of watersports. The area is stunning, the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Dam property is spectacular, the campsite is great, but the chalets are absolutely terrible. Very old, worn, tired, dirty - the chalets are a let-down to a fantastic property with one of the best...

Stayed overnight on a trip to the coast. The chalet was clean and well equipped. The check in form offered to us at the main gate was a form that had been photocopied numerous times and looked very unprofessional. We enjoyed a good dinner at the restaurant although many menu items were not available on the night. The lady at...

Last year April we visited the Midmar Camp site for the first time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our stay at Midmar was very pleasant, the scenery was good and the rates very affordable. Based on these points, we decided to do the same this year. But when we arrived earlier this year, our excitement was short lived....

Two nights were spent at this property while on a birdwatching trip though Eastern South Africa. The accomodations were very spacious and clean. I had no problems during my visit and did notice that security was present (if somewhat lax) at serveral locations in the resort. I did not spent too much time at the resort as I was out...
