I was visiting the region by myself for wine tastings and tours and I’m so glad that I decided to stay in Neive (as opposed to Alba). The hotel is situated at the bottom of the hill from the town. The hotel was in perfect walking distance to the town center with plenty of restaurants and some wonderful shops. I...

I think the title of my review says it all! We had not booked in advance, and when my husband went in to see if they had a room for two nights we were given a choice of two. The room we opted for had fabric covering on the wall, and was spacious and tranquil with a large terrace. The...

We stayed for a few days to tour the Barolo and Barbaresco vineyards nearby. It was a perfect base for exploring, no more than 30 minutes away from the main villages. As mentioned by others, Barolo room has a large balcony with fantastic views - one clear day we could even see the Alps. The room was decently equipped but...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days. Neive is very nice. The hotel is a great base to visit the Barolo and Barbaresco wine region. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. The outdoor swimming pool is rather small, but clean and fresh for hot days. The only negative was the noice from the nearby road that...

The hotel is on the bottom of the historical Neive, 10 minutes walk up hill to the town. It shows signs of wear and tear, but quite classic Italian style. The service however, is very good with a good sense of what the customers want and need. The pool is small, but fits the number of rooms, clean and has...

This was our second time staying at HVL in the quaint town of Neive and it was just as nice as our first trip a couple of years ago. HVL is a clean hotel with spacious, air conditioned rooms. The views are fantastic and the location couldn't be better for neighboring town visits to Barolo or Barbaresco...not to mention Neive...

We based ourselves here for some tasting of Piedmont wines and it was a good choice. The staff are friendly and helpful, suggesting we stored our wines in the cellar, and the room was pleasant, cool and offered a splendid view. We were easily able to walk up the hill to an excellent local restaurant, La Luna Nella Pozze. The...

This hotel is beautifully placed right outside the small town of Neive, where there are several good restaurants. The pool area overlooking the vineyards was worth the stay alone, though they could have offered some parking area for a garden or so. Spacious room. Bed on the firm side (as the rest of Italy in this price range). Great breakfast...

Set on the edge of Nieve, Villa Lauri is a lovely hotel just a short 15 min walk from Nieve and close to the bus drop off. The owner was very hospitable and immediately offered us a glass of wine upon arrival. We had the Barolo room with a great view and large balcony. The morning vistas were stunning. We...

Given Neive is a small village, you might first be tempted to stay in the big town of Alba. This would be a mistake. Neive is one of the most beautiful villages in the area and Villa Lauri fits right into that. For us, it had everything we needed. There is parking for the car (and you do need a...
