Fantastic old hotel with large rooms and nice new en-suite bathrooms. Great food, staff and atmosphere. Never stayed in this part of Melbourne before. Close to trams, St Kilda and the city. Very easy to get around. A beautiful part of Melbourne and will definitely be back again to stay.

What a nice hotel. It's a pity that the food is overpriced, bland and portioned for a 6 yo child. As the title of this review suggests, if you can't even get fries right (undercooked and soggy) it's an indication of nonchalance or incompetence in the kitchen. A bit more respect needs to be shown to guests here Mph.

Went full of expectations for the good Sunday roast. a catalogue of disasters! our booking wasn't recorded so we were sat in a back room, well that wasnt too bad except we were ignored by the waiting staff/. The beef was almost inedible, full of gristle, soggy roast potatoes and some water cress as a decoration. That was it!!!!! Daughter...

Interesting food and lovely atmosphere at this local. Very warm and snug on a cold winters night. Stylish and relaxed. Foodies will be happy. The bar also has some interesting wines by the glass and wifi. Beautifully done steaks come recommended.

This is probably a place to eat and drink at rather than to stay.Luckily we only stayed the one night before an early morning flight. The bar is very pleasant with open fire and based on our breakfast and general observations I do not doubt the kitchen. The rooms are however very average, or at least ours was.Small, tiny bathroom,...

Very disappointing visit. Not the friendly atmosphere I expected because of the closed booths. Good very overpriced for what you receive. Seemed to be. Lace where you needed to be one of the crowd and unwelcoming

Hi Briancartmill. Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback - it is greatly appreciated. Hi Freya. Apologies for repeating the same messaging to you across multiple platforms, but we would like to be consistent in our response. We're sorry your experience wasn't up to standard. As discussed with you in person, it seems there has been some confusion about the size of the double room when you booked through one of our third-party providers....
