Wonderful old style period chateaux. We stayed in the main house and the room was large with nice antique/period furnishings. Staff did their best to be helpful. There are some negatives though. Food was average and the breakfast spread limited. The dinner menu was extensive, and if smaller may help to focus more on quality.

The manor house is beautiful from the outside, however suffering from renovation in Communist times (it was renovated in 1985). Furniture is often fake and tacky (plastic medieval busts the rooms of a baroque house), the restaurant and entire place has an 80's feeling about it....Food was correct although for lack of open windows (you cannot actually open them in...

We spent 1 night in this hotel. The hotel is very very beautiful, they tried to preserve the original estate of the castle and his serving buildings. The hotel is not too far from Budapest (about 1 hour), but who wants to go there, can cognize the really Hungarian countryside. The room was clean and enough big for 2 persons...

I took advantage of the riding package, one of several experiences offered by the Teleki-Degenfeld Castle Hotel, and was not disappointed. The hotel staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly, the food was tasty, and the horses were very good. It's close enough to Budapest to be accessible (under 1 hour by car), but the surrounding area is very rural...

What a wonderful find this place is! It is a very elegant, grand country house. Whilst its’ location is a bit off the beaten track, it does make an excellent base for touring. Holloko, Godollo and the Danube Bend can all be reached from here; the roads being of very good quality. Unfortunately there was hardly anybody there when we...

The hotel is basically a castle, built centuries ago (obviously refurbished and rebuilt during the past hundreds of years), with an authentic atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and nice: we had a few requests which immediately solved. If I have to mention weaknesses, they are the small wellness area (in a separate building, but too small even for 8-10...

A quiet little castle with really friendy personnel, helping with everything. It is not easy to find the caste by night, but worth looking for it. We were arriving a bit late on a Friday night, but they did call us, if they should wait for us with the restaurant open! A nice place to explore the North-East part of...

“Try to get a room in the main house.”

“Rooms in the main building are more expensice, but they are the superior ones. No A/C in the room but as the walls are very thick, you do not even feel yourself unfomcortable at 36-38 outside temperature (tested:)”
