On the face of it the hotel seemed to offer more than it delivered. The location was okay because we didn't mind driving to the beach and town. The hotel is modern and clean with good parking. The rooms are very clean but very small, with just a shower and closet toilet that is a bit constricting and very little hanging space. Breakfast area is easily overwhelmed with just one coffee machine and one toaster, the breakfast is very unappealing and basic although the coffee was good. This hotel is more geared for the business and overnight traveler, it is not well suited for the vacationer. We expected the Ibis Styles to be a cut above their budget brand but sadly, we left feeling very disappointed, certainly not worth a three star rating.
Despite the website saying no parking reservation was necessary when we arrived we were refused entry despite the carpark only having a few cars in it. Reception claimed we should have reserved it. What ? Not good. My second issue. As a silver member of Accor I am offered a free drink on arrival. That's for each guest however this place insisted only to give one beer. For a couple ?? At every other hotel, whichever brand of Accor it is usual for one drink free per guest. This is really bad, unprecedented,. I did try to argue my case with the same staff member on both issues, but she was unbending. We won't be staying here again. It's the worst IBIS I have ever been in.
We stayed here for three nights. It is in a great location and all staff were welcoming and friendly. Room quite small but all very clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is tasty with a good selection of cereals, bread and croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but a selection of teas and coffees are freely available in the reception area. A good stay!!
Overall a great hotel. Great rooms, but lacking a fridge. The location is fabulous, only a few minutes walk to the harbour and a supermarket is just up the road. There is also a train to Nantes airport. The staff were fabulous, they spoke good english and were very helpful. As I’m a diabetic I had to store my medication in the fridge at the bar, but the staff were great about it and it wasn’t a problem. The breakfast was a bit limited, but the croissants were lovely. We have a very nice stay and enjoyed our holiday
Only stayed one night with family had 3 rooms in all but was good value for money. Tip, book your car parking space at time of making booking i.e spaces are limited and are an additional cost, but pretty necessary as very limited on street parking as both entrances are on a one way system.
