We where booked into this Hotel after we where told our booking for the Dower House hotel was a "mistake". We arrived after a 2.5 hour car journey on 24/8 at around 4.45pm, the Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and were booked in with a minimum of fuss. The Room was lovely, with a flat screen TV, ensuite bathroom, clean and spacious with an Ironing board and fan provided. We went for a wander around the village and returned for our meal booked in the Restaurant at 6.30. Only one little thing was the haddock in batter still in it's skin which my wife wasn't a big fan of , however i had the House Burger which was great. The Service in the Restaurant was spot on too the young man who waited our table was exceptionally polite.
Breakfast the next morning was a choice of continental or cooked, with any beverage you wanted and you could help yourself to a full English ( i did) , every thing was cooked to perfection and really set me up for the day. The cleaning staff were spot on ( not pushy to get you pout of the room to clean) and we were not disturbed getting ready for the occasion we were attending.
Would i stay here again? Oh yes!

Had a lovely 5 night stay here in June. Room was fine, clean, overlooked the play area so could be noisy and unfortunately smokers used this area too, mostly wasn’t a problem but coming back in to our room one day we could smell smoke in the room (we had left the window open) perhaps the smoking area could be moved nearer to the back fence or even around the corner to keep smells away from the rooms?

Staf were without exception friendly with a special mention to Sarah on reception and Anna & Richard in catering. Breakfasts were fine, good quality bacon and sausage, on first glance not a lot of choice but in reality everything we needed, plus scrambled eggs could be ordered instead of the fried eggs on display. Everything was fresh and hot. Also had two evening meals in the restaurant which were both very good and reasonably priced.

Only negative is that the lift only goes to the first floor, it does state that on the website but the superior rooms with walk in showers are apparently all on the second floor. However, after speaking with Sarah during booking she was able to offer me a room on the first floor with a walk in shower (not a superior room but still very nice).

Having previously stayed in a much higher priced, well known hotel in Woodhall Spa which we loved the first two times we stayed but had issues on our third visit although the Inn didn’t have the grandeur of the building or the grounds that was all we missed!

Would we stay again? Definitely, in actual fact we tried to book for 1 night to break our journey to Norfolk but there was no availability!

First of all the staff were lovely, super friendly and accommodating. We had a very good evening meal in the 617 Restaurant and so had high hopes that our overnight stay would be good.

Our room, room 21, was decorated well and everything looked good. There was lashings of piping hot water at all times. The radiator heated the room quickly and efficiently.

Unfortunately the room was above the bar and was very noisy as there was loud music playing until around 10:45. It also overlooked the smoking area so we were glad it wasn't high summer as we would have been less than inclined to have the windows open. The door below banged noisily every time anyone accessed the smoking area. The bed was awful - not at all comfortable so we both slept very badly.

Breakfast was a total disappointment compared with our evening meal. It was like a budget 2 star offering with cheap, concentrated juice and the rest of the ingredients tasted poor quality. We appreciate it is hard to cater for for a full hotel so buffet breakfasts are probably best but the sausages were dry, the bacon was dried out to the point of being chewy and the eggs greasy. I didn't have the hash browns but my husband described them as tasteless.

A shame as a comfy bed and a really good breakfast are what we look for in a hotel stay.

I stayed with my husband for one night. What a diabolical experience !. The room was uninviting, basic, out of date and had no decor whatsoever. The light for the bathroom was no where near the bathroom and when turned on activated an extractor fan that rattled for minutes afterwards....so annoying. There was not even a picture on the wall and the walls were all magnolia with old fashioned anaglypta wallpaper that was cracking at the edges . The window frames were single glazed and very poorly maintained and the wardrobe and television were leaning over. Overall a very disappointing experience, especially for the money charged. Breakfast in the morning was good, but the staff were lacking in brightness and customer service. The young man checking us in at breakfast was quite pleasant and tried a bit more, but all staff were scruffy with no standard dress or uniform just random jeans and scruffy tee shirts. Will not be recommending it to any of my friends and a real shame that an Inn such as this in a good location is not trying to make the most of opportunities of good service in this current economic climate, seemed to be extremely complacent.

This is a very nice hotel in the lovely village of Woodhall Spa. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful, we had a good lunch, there was a lovely patio area outside to eat and drink. Our room was comfortable with a large bathroom, on the top floor, however our stay coincided with what was at that time, the hottest day of the year, no air conditioning!! The room was stifling, like a sauna, the staff acknowledged the problem and tried to alleviate the heat by giving us two electric fans, but generally all they do is blow hot air around the room, the management of this hotel need to invest in portable air conditions units for the rooms on the top floor.
Clearly it would not be a worthwhile investment to install air conditioning in the entire hotel, especially as we have a relatively small number of days that require a/c, however for the few number of top floor rooms, portable units would be a justifiable expense for the comfort of guests.

We booked the private dining room for 21 on a Saturday evening whilst staying at Bainland Lodge Retreats. The food was delicious, arrived promptly and the staff could not do enough for us. I would not hesitate to recommend the Inn at Woodhall Spa and would definitely return if in the area. We struggled to get a taxi at the end of the evening and the manager John very kindly offered to shuttle us back to the lodge. A fabulous evening, thank you!

Having popped into Woodhall Spa whilst passing last year we decided to book a couple of nights there. The hotel was right in the centre of the town and they were really accommodating in storing our bikes overnight. The staff were all lovely particularly Sarah who took our booking and was on reception whilst we were there. Food was good and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was superb. Covid rules meant it was ordered the night before and cooked fresh which was a bonus. We had a superior double room which was very spacious. Decent WiFi and smart TV. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

I often frequent the Inn as it is one of my local haunts, but this time I wasn't alone & suggested it as a meeting place for a group of friends who hadn't been there before. I had said how good it was there & oh wow they didn't let me down. It was an icy morning & some were a little late arriving but there was no panic and we had coffees first to warm us up with the bar staff laughing and joking with us & being very polite. We sat in the front & looked at menus, we weren't hurried & was asked where we would like to sit in the dining room. Our orders were taken & a more senior guy came & took our drinks through for us again very chatty & friendly. Our meals came very quickly & everyone was gobsmacked by the size & quality of our lunch. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and my friends who are used to eating out in Lincoln were very impressed. I think the main 2 who looked after us were John & Graham but I could be wrong. All in all a very enjoyable experience, atmosphere & great service. We are due to meet this month too & they have asked to come here again!

we were stopping in Woodhall Spa for our anniversary (14th April)
and we were looking for somewhere to have a nice meal, not an easy
task as it was on a Sunday. However after ringing round we managed
to get booked in at the Inn and booked a table in their Lancaster resturant.
Good choice on the menu, we had the mushrooms in garlic sauce
.They were very very tasty. my wife had the salmon with gnocchi, she found it very
tasty and throughly enjoyable. I had the scampi with chips, peas / mushy peas and tartare sauce.
We are not sure of the name of our waiter, but he was very helpful and a credit to the
resturant. Overall we had two very enjoyable meals, and not forgetting the starter everything
was first class and everything was served piping hot. Would be happy to go again.
