I would like to recommend this place. Staff are nice, friendly, helpful. Everyone can recommend you to go local attractions and local restaurants. And room is very clean and affordable. I would go back to stay there again.
We stayed in a downstairs double room at Mitree House for three nights, including New Year’s Eve. The hotel is in a great location, with lots of good eating options nearby, transport, two good travel agencies and of course the train station. Wherever we went in Trang, all the tuk tuk drivers and moto taxi riders were familiar with Mitree House, so it was always easy coming and going. This is a very clean hotel, and in fact you have to take off your shoes after entering the lobby. There’s a real family atmosphere here, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We overslept breakfast on New Year’s Day (as you do) and the staff came knocking on our door with menus to take our order! This was a nice touch. We saw lots of other hotels around Trang during our stay, but we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.…
This is a fairly good choice in a nice central location (just a few moments from the train station). Our room was very clean, though note that lower level rooms may have a bit of a sewer smell, like a lot of places in Thailand. I'm sure that comes and goes, so your mileage may vary. Upstairs there is a very quiet public space with comfy seats and some books. That is pretty quiet most of the time, so is a good place to chill out. The provided breakfast is a variety of egg and toast options, prepared on demand. Staff are very friendly. Recommended.
We stayed here for 4 nights, and can honestly say we had a great time! The staff are super friendly, the rooms are big and clean, and it is in a fantastic position near the train station. There is a small breakfast menu, and you can make your own drinks. Would definitely recommend scrambled eggs on toast...even the eggs taste better in Thailand!... cooked well, the way we like them! There is a weekend Market around the corner, and several markets during the week in the town. It is a shame Trang is used only as a stop over for island hopping...it has so much more to offer. Trang beaches were empty when we visited and are stunning! The railway centre in Kangtang is definitely worth a visit and there is Robinson, Big C and Tesco Lotus superstores for your every need!
Superior rooms upstairs were very nice. Clean, spacious and the bed was excellent! Hangout space in upstairs was a cool idea too. On the balcony there's chairs so you get some sun.. Breakfast was quite simple but ok. Street food is just around the corner if you're still hungry after included breakfast. When checking in they provide a little map of Trang city that is very helpful if you haven't been here before.
