We stay for four day in 2016 in Trang. Very nice B&B with nice places outside and very clean and comfortable rooms. The Family who is owner, is very, very kindly! If we go to Trang again - we stay there a second time!!!!
couldn't be better in Trang. Female owner Tak gave me and my family a lot of kindness and did many things, such as motorbike rental, good dinings. Always gave me a big smile and asked me what need and want. She always tried to help me out, arrange a tour, transportation, next destination and stay. We had 3 nights. Room is simple, but very clean and cozy. Breakfast is simple, but good enough. Location is not close to the main town, so need a tuktuk or motorbike, then easy to get anywhere in Trang. My family rode a motorbike and went to a hot spring named Khuan kaeng and three beaches, Chao mai, Yao, Pak meng and those are 50km away from the house. They are great and would be recommended.
VERY clean rooms and the most friendly and helpful owners in whole Thailand. Very nice and modern looking property. Underpriced! Highly recommended! Location not perfect but tuktuk is cheap (50baht per person) to city centre.
I completely forgot to review this place on Booking.com and I really regret it because it is truly lovely! It is far out of town, there's no doubt about that, but what it lacks in immediacy to the station it makes up in the ability to explore more than the boring backpacker strip where all the hotels are located. It's 100 baht to the centre by tuktuk and the hosts will call you one when you're ready. Easy peasy! Trang is lovely city, untouristed and worth more than a single night en route to the islands: we spent four and it was a perfect amount. The night market is great and it's just so interesting to wander around the back streets near to the B&B and walk all the way into town if you're feeling energetic. There are restaurants nearby if you know where to look (ask the hosts or try stopping by Green House cafe in the centre for a coffee - if Dear is there, she'll give you some suggestions). Make sure you try dimsum for dinner, an excellent Trang tradition! I don't think I have *ever* stayed anywhere as clean as this - it was truly spotless. The room itself was huge, albeit lacking in much furniture, but it had everything we needed. There was even an ante-room leading to the (private) bathroom where we could leave our rucksacks, so the bedroom itself felt ever so zen. Very welcoming after months of travelling! And whilst the room itself is a little sparsely-decorated, the guesthouse (recently built) is modern and elegant, with classy artworks on the walls and an extremely calming atmosphere from the moment one steps through the gate. Wifi was a bit patchy but excellent when it worked. Above all the hosts are just SO NICE. They were incredibly kind and actually drove us to a restaurant when (our own fault) we decided we wanted to go to dinner quite late, after the tuktuk driver had gone off duty . . . and even picked us up afterwards!! It was completely unnecessary but we couldn't have been more grateful, and it was representative of the thoughtful touches which abounded. It felt more like an AirBNB in terms of welcome, assistance, and friendliness; but with the cleanliness and service one might expect of a hotel. As far as I'm concerned, that's the best possible combination!…
We had a 1 night stay at Tang Guest House on our way to the islands. The room was simply furnished but spotlessly clean, and the owner was very welcoming and friendly, and recommended a lovely Thai restaurant just a short walk away from the house. The location is a bit out of the way, but as we had already booked our transport from Trang to the port this wasn't a problem. Ideal for a stopover if you're on the way over to the islands.
