This is a very basic slightly tired hotel with a good Bavarian Restaurant, which I think is run but different people. The rooms as small , single bed just fits into the length of the room. Everything worked but you really would not want to spend too long in the room. The restaurant was much more cheery and served good... More

We arrived Munich at night so by the time we took the SBahn to Gauting, it was nearly 9pm. The Gauting station and surrounding streets were very, very dark and quiet, so it was a bit scary. Recommend arriving early :) The hotel itself was very warm, with friendly staff. The boss was a sweet Japanese lady, who took care... More

Gauting is a very small town south of Munich, and is a good choice if you plan to visit both Munich and the country side. Stranberg Lake and Alps area (south of Munich) are in a 30-90 minutes drive. Munich City center is 25 minutes by train - very convenient. Hotel itself is a typical small German hotel - clean,... More

I stayed for one night, during a business trip. Single room is nog too big but has all he comforts one would want. Clean bathroom, fluffy bed, friendly staff at the reception (open until 21.00 hours) and a wonderful breakfast. I would stay here again, no doubt! About the village: it is located south-west of Munich, but trains to and... More

Didn't get around to making a hotel reservation until February for a trip to Munich during the Oktoberfest so obviously couldn't find anything in the city center. This place is actually a great find. Large rooms (we had a "bay" double room. Bathroom was large with a good shower. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options and they... More

Located in a suburb of Munich this is a good hotel set in a nice historical building. Very functional rooms. Good beds. Good bathroom. Excellent breakfast and friendly service. The attached restaurant is convenient as there are not many restairant options close by.

Very friendly personnel, especially owners. Needed a taxi and when none was available, owner drove me to destination. Rooms pretty basic but have everything you need either as a tourist or a business guest. Love the breakfast. Overall great value hotel. Highly recommend.

For those looking for affordable accommodations in one of Munich’s suburbs this is a good choice. The hotel is located a short walk to the S-Bahn which takes you to the city center in just 20 minutes. The Gautinger Hof is a traditional hotel in an older building with the typical smaller rooms. Since bathrooms with showers have been added,... More

Small rooms, outdated interior from 80s and 90s. Not perfect for demanding biz traveller though they offer free WIFI. Good standard breakfast. Extras such as eggs need to be ordered but are feee. Personnel very friendly. Overall not perfect for a biz trip but nice for private travel as prices are very moderate.
