We had a pleasant stay at the colonial style Bandarawela Hotel in the cool climes of Bandarawela. The hotel is centrally located and the service was good. However the standard rooms were a bit short of space.

Located on the Welimada Road in close proximity to the Railway Station, Central Bus Stand, banks and post office it is surrounded with a salubrious environment. The property is beautifully landscaped internally and externally. I would say it is an ideal place to escape from the fast paced life and get yourself rejuvenated. The hotel proper is a colonial styled...

Bandarawela hotel management is truly unpleasant. Their customer service is null. First level manager of hotel is very much unfriendly and unstructured. They can't handle their duties and responsibilities to meet customer requirement. Frankly speaking, they cheat customers.

This hotel has been built in 1893 during the British era but well maintained.A group of 28 checked into the hotel for a night's stay.We had an enjoyable night out in the garden. The buffet had a good selection and the food was very tasty. It is a very nice and quiet place to spend a relaxing holiday.

There's no other place like the Bandarawela Hotel to stay in Bandarawela! I love the old world charm, and the quiet laid back ambiance, taking you back to an era long gone. Sipping tea seated on the lawn, a hot soup at dinner and the old fashioned four poster beds are all memories you will carry with you. The hotel...

I have known this hotel since the 1950s and it's still the same!! But it's been very tastefully refurbished! The staff have always been outstanding and I'd say that is still true! We went for their buffet dinner. It was fully booked so very busy, but the staff couldn't do enough for us. Wonderful service! The buffet was good, not...

The rooms are large for families and the room was clean. There is a major need for upgrading to make the hotel much better. They do not offer mosquito nets despite the large mosquitoes that attack nonstop. The wifi works better closer to the reception area. Ask for rooms facing the courtyard as the Ines facing the entrance are noisy...

Lovely old hotel with good wife. Rather surprised that the only electric socket was immediately behind the bed - not a good place to boil a kettle of water! Did not like having the sink in the bedroom rather than the bathroom. Thin white cotton curtains are no good at keeping out the lights from the street a few feet...

We were at Bandarawela hotel for the lunch. Surrounding was really ambient and peaceful. They had some selected ranges of meals, but tasted delicious. Plenty of space to park vehicle. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

We stayed 18th Feb night here with my cousins' family in 3 double rooms. Whole hotels is like a colonial type bungalow and we were felt like visitors of a British Governor in his bungalow. This cosy resort has the comfort to make you relax and feel the silence of calmness surrounded there. The double rooms we were offered was...
