This was the 2nd masseria we stayed at in Puglia and out of the two, it paled by comparison. Ironically, expectations were much higher for this hotel given the rave TA reviews and the fact that it was featured in several articles I read on Puglia. I'm not sure what the hype is all about. The grounds itself are lovely...

Outstanding hospitality, especially from receptionist, Sylvia. Room was comfortable, but water pressure and temperature in shower was inadequate. Superb restaurant with a very enthusiast and talented chef. Gorgeous pool, but our experience was negatively affected by strong winds, and the pool area is not sheltered from wind. Beautiful view and grounds, but not well situated from a sight-seeing point of...

Very nice setting old farm complex in the middle of olive tree field. Sitting close to the swimming pool you can admire a wonderful green landscape - no sound nor movement (except that of kids playing in the pool) Rooms are rustic for sure but that is the purpose also - and they manage to be comfy. Excellent dinner at...

We stayed at Lama di Luna for a weekend in mid-August and it could not have been better - during our several week trip to Italy this weekend was our favorite stop. the food was outstanding, the staff was amazingly helpful, and the relaxing retreat was just what we needed. we will definitely be back!

We had four pleasant nights in this beautifully renovated old Masseria. There are dozens of lovely touches around the place, which has breathtaking views from the dining terrace and the huge infinity pool. We were fortunate that the summer chef who spends his summers here and winters at an Italian restaurant in Antigua was here during our stay, and his...

We arrived on bicycles and were welcomed by Pietro in a very friendly way.He showed us around the property and explained a bit about the history and all about the facilities. The room was delightful and comfortable well decorated and the bed was very good. A really nice retreat after 60kms in the saddle. Unfortunately the pool was only 17...

The building where to stay is quite unusual, not really char, ing but it has something very special as you need to imagine it hosted like 20-30 families who worked on the farm before. The rooms are nicely fitted and well decorated. There is a very nice sitting room / library, and next there is a room with some 50 chairs...

The hosts, location, rooms and food at lama do Luna were all brilliant. We had two blissful days here last week and wish it had been longer. We're still dreaming about it. It's a fantastic place to go if you want absolute peace. The building is exceptional, and all very thoughtfully done. We'd love to go back.

This is a biomasseria located in a very beautiful isolated place with a great view overlooking hectares of olive trees. Very romantic place. Were here with my wife, and enjoyed it very much. Rooms are all different, done in eco friendly yet antic feeling style. Mattress is very comfortable. Have various fruit trees on the territory. And say hello to...

Lama di Luna has been finished with great attention to detail. It is a tranquil oasis set in beautiful countryside. Our room was in a charming courtyard. Breakfast and evening meals are taken on a veranda with a lovely view. The food was excellent and very high quality. Their own wine was also excellent. There was a very inviting pool...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is a farm of the 18th century inhabited by Coloni and Mezzadri, Farmers and Share-Croppers), now totally restructured after three years of minute work, with techniques of bio-architecture and feng-shui in the total respect of the place and its history; it is deep in 190 hectares of natural landscape, olive-groves, cherry orchards, almond groves and vineyards, all biologically cultivated and certified AIAB-ICEA. The guest-rooms are the old residence of the farmers; today they are spacious and bright, they all have a fireplace, they look on to the farmyard and they are provided with warm water and heating thanks to 48 solar panels; there are beds dating back to 1800 made with heart-wood of pine or olive-tree or brass-made, with natural latex mattress, unbleached cotton sheets and towels, olive-oil soaps; each detail has been meticulously studied to let the energy move on to permit the guests to feel the ancient flavours. ... more   less
