We stayed here for 9 nights and generally enjoyed it very much. The location is beautiful, the castle very stylish but not over the top, the grounds clean and well-kept, the staff very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is highly recommended, but you have to know that the menu doesn't vary much, so we often ate somewhere else to have variety. The bar was open in the early evening for a stylish sundowner with a view of the beautiful landscape.

The room was clean, with excellent air conditioning (the outside temperature was around 40 degrees, even in the morning it was over 35 degrees). Very good beds. Our small balcony with stairs into the garden, where you can enjoy the morning sun, was also very nice (room 162 is highly recommended).

The location is good, but not perfect: it takes just under 25 minutes to drive to Asti, an hour to Barolo, and the same goes for Turin. If you want to be closer to the highlights in the Langhe, you should look for accommodation between Asti and Alba. It was a good fit for us because we were also in Vercelli and wanted to see the magnificent rice fields. But you can get to lovely little villages like Montiglio, Cocconatto, Murisengo or Castello di Rinco very quickly.

The following points were a shame and actually a bit disappointing:

1) The pool is only open from 9 a.m. If it is already very hot early in the morning (35 degrees), then it would be even nicer to be in the pool before breakfast. My question about earlier opening times was not exactly politely refused because the pool is cleaned in the morning (which, according to our observations, is not true). The owners should think a bit about this. This is an unnecessary loss of sympathy points.

2) Breakfast: for 9 days, a little variety in the sausage would have been nice, maybe a couple of paninis. There was also often stale bread. Nevertheless, the breakfast was very good overall. The lemon juice with sage leaves was very sophisticated.
3) We would have been very happy to hear a few kind words from the ever-present (and always elegantly dressed) owner, after all we were there much longer than most guests. Perhaps it was because of our language skills, because we had a nice chat with Italian-speaking guests.

All in all, a really great and beautiful place to stay with some room for improvement. Will we come back? I think and hope that in the future they will cater more to the needs of the guests and, above all, open the pool earlier.

From the photos you can imagine that it is a beautiful relais and upon arrival you can admire every corner of the gardens overlooking the vineyards, with attention to every detail and organized into relaxation areas to relax or have an aperitif or a light lunch.
Once you cross the threshold of the Castle door you are welcomed into the elegant reception adjacent to the entrance to the wine museum which collects ancient objects and leads to the cellars, the so-called "infernot".
Our room furnished with antique furniture was equipped with a large double bed, a closed bar area with antique doors, a table and armchairs.
The large and comfortable bathroom with quality courtesy products although limited.
The swimming pool is very beautiful, very clean and well organised, overlooking a spectacular panorama.
Here the silence is truly golden!!!
A special mention to the restaurant where we enjoyed homemade agnolotti daily and exquisite desserts.
The service of the staff is attentive and punctual in every request, we greatly appreciated the cordial professionalism and great kindness of the ladies Giulia, Morena and Lisa as well as of the owner Mr Riccardo.
The only flaw is the mattress, or perhaps the bed base, which needs improvement.

The property is surrounded by a beautiful and well-kept garden, surrounded by a breathtaking landscape. The very large, bright and spacious rooms are spotless and cared for in every detail.
The restaurant is definitely another strength of the structure, with the only flaw that the breakfast can definitely be improved (as for the variety of the offer certainly not for the quality that is excellent anyway). Last but not least, the strength is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff always with a smile on their lips, which unfortunately is not so obvious.... thanks and congratulations!

This is such a wonderful restaurant that we returned for the 2nd time and will be back. I emailed ahead to reserve a space outside and Giulia was very accommodating, even though the weather had a question mark over it! Stunning venue, beautifully lit for the evening. The outdoor pace is beautifully set up for dinner. We had 3 courses each, trying the Veal Tartare, Vitello Tonnata and a Beetroot, Veal and Gorgonzola starter. Mains were Agnolotti, Vegetable risotto, and Bottono pasta. Desserts- Affogato and Toroncino. Every bite was delicious, as was the rosé wine as expected.
The staff are so friendly, we had a lovely time. Less than €160.
We have recommended this restaurant to visiting friends.

This place is so quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely stay. We were put in an absolutely giant attic apartment which was magnificent, with views of the vineyards and a beautiful beamed ceiling from the 1700s. Wine tasting while munching on tomato and mozzarella salad and overlooking the vineyards was dreamy. Dinners and breakfasts on site, outside, were lovely. Pool in the vineyards was also great. The only off thing was the young woman at reception. She spoke fabulous English but was surprisingly unfriendly and unhelpful. Initially, I asked her for recommendations on other places in the area to go wine tasting, and she abruptly told us there were none. Then she reluctantly admitted there might be one, and gave us the phone number. I asked her to call and make a reservation, but she seemed really put out. We did get a reservation and of course there were other places to go wine tasting, so why lie about that? Tourists go here to go wine tasting!! Anyway, it was a bit mysterious to us why she was that way, but other than that, would not hesitate to recommend.

This castello is wonderful. It has its own cellars, wine museum, a pool in the vineyards, a restaurant in the courtyard and even a BBQ area. Drinks and restaurant are not expensive and the chef cooks marvelous food. I will certainly come back.

For a small upgrade we had the best accommodation of our lives. If the living room, study and sauna were not enough we had magnificent views from three sides. Service was wonderful as were the meals. It even came with its own vineyard and wine museum. Eleven out of ten!

There is no city or even large village close to this place which is in the middle of the vinyards. I guess it is possible to get their with a train from Milan to Torino and then by bus but it may be long and not the easiest place to get to without a car. You should check on Google maps or, even better, contact the hotel as they may have a shuttle or ideas to ease access to their facility. Hope it helps
