Good bright clean room with great king size very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Good bar meals and breakfast. Haggis with whisky sauce was excellent. The hotel looks a little dated and could do with paintwork refreshing but the warm welcome and great sleep/ food are perhaps more important

we stayed one night at the Strathardle Inn and the staff were really helpful. The room was very clean although the adjoining bathroom needs freshened up. The food was excellent and i would recommend this to others

We had several meals here while staying in Kirkmichael. Service was excellent and we enjoyed the beer and food. The kids loved the playpark outside, and the Inn was very relaxed with well behaved dogs and children. The pub was a nice mix of locals and visitors, which gave it a good feel.

I booked the family room at the Strathcardle Inn for my wife, me and my two daughters for an overnight stay on route to Skye. This was to break up the long journey from my home to the Isle of Skye. We received a warm welcome from the staff and found our room warm and comfortable with two bedrooms and...

They had choices to suit the veggies and were able to adapt another for the vegan. The meat eater was not unhappy either. Quality was good and so was value for money. We...

Nice historic inn with good, spacious (at least the one we had) rooms and very good food. Staff was very friendly and helpful, too. Also has a nice beer garden for these rare sunny days. We enjoyed our stay!

I'm really torn with this review, because the main building, food and service was outstanding. The food was beyond tasty, very cozy atmosphere and welcoming log fire. I couldn't fault our evening meal or the breakfast the next morning, but I didn't enjoy the accommodation sadly. We had booked a family room which is outside of the main building (I...

Only stayed here one night whilst walking the Cateran trail but would have liked to stay longer. Very comfortable, clean room and welcoming staff. Very tasty meal with great choice from menu and specials. The breakfast was excellent, setting me up for the day's walking.
